If we get the snow they are calling for today it should make for a good rally on Saturday. I'll be there in my 96 Cherokee. See my post below for an explanation of what a TSD rally is.

TSD = Time, Speed, Distance. This rally is on public roads, probably 70% unpaved 30% paved, and it obeys all traffic laws. Before the rally starts you are given a set of course instructions for the entire rally. The instructions tell you where to turn with mileage, the average speed you need to maintain, and any other important information. There are several controls ("checkpoints") that are set up on the rally route where your time of passage is noted. The location of these controls is unknown to the competitors. Your goal as a participant is to arrive at each control exactly on time based on the distance you have traveled and the speed you averaged for that distance. You are penalized if you are early or late to a control. This particular rally is about 200 miles with two breaks for food, gas, etc. There is also a need for workers for this event which is a good way to see what goes on behind the scenes.
