View Full Version : Don't buy from
nu_bronco 01-06-2004, 11:23 PM 91fordbaja. I am sorry but I must do this to hopefully save someone else from losing more money. Okay, there is the deal:
I bought a wiring harness for a f150/fsb for a 351w from him. He said $30 would be fine, I mailed him a money order for $45 on the 15 or 16 of December to get it shipped quickly as I am in urgent need of it. He said he would get it mailed out by Friday the 19. Never happened! I have since tried to pm him no help. So, I found that MuddinMike knew him, I asked MuddinMike to ask him to email or pm with a status. Mike did, no change! I was then given Baja's cell number, I called last Friday, no return call. I called yesterday, no return call! Called an hour and half ago, no return call!! I am done being polite. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM 91FORDBAJA!!! Here is his address and phone number incase he starts using a different username on here....
Kaleb Black
If by some chance he changes his mind and sends me my money I will apologize, until then I will to continue to think he is a THEFT!
I hope this saves someone else.
admin edit
the rat
I have also edited it to remove everything but his name. nu_bronco
Timmy 01-06-2004, 11:55 PM dude this post was just uncool by all means.... number one you do not post personal information about someone and number 2 I have dealt with kaleb in person and he is a good guy to do business with...he has alot on his plate do deal with and I am sure this post will not help him hurry up...I understand that you haven't gotten a product that you paid for but this is not the way to resolve the issue :slap
nu_bronco 01-06-2004, 11:59 PM Is there a reason this is editted? Is there some rule I have broken?
NOBS! 01-07-2004, 01:31 AM this is not the way to resolve the issue why not?this is probably the medium through which the arrangements were made.why shouldn't the breakdown of those arrangements be resolved here? without the personal info of coarse
BikerPepe` 01-07-2004, 01:44 AM I agree w/NOB... own up 91FORDBAJA.
I know I don't want to get burnt! http://mindscraps.com/s/contrib/ed/madfire.gif
Davids78Bronco 01-07-2004, 01:57 AM without the personal info of coarse
That was the only real problem with the original post
Blaze 01-07-2004, 02:01 AM Is there a reason this is editted? Is there some rule I have broken?
Not realy a rule, but posting info that personal is just not cool. :shrug
I understand your pain, but IMHO the edit was the right thing to do.
nu_bronco 01-07-2004, 02:35 AM I understand, and I am cool with it. I have even removed all his personal info expect his name now. Hopefully, it is that he is just busy or whatever, and not intentationally ripping me off. But I am not to optimistic abou that.
jackhart 01-11-2004, 10:50 PM if someone promises to ship by a certain date, gets paid, and doesn't, and then ignores all subsequent contacts, he deserves to get flamed. end of story.
93_bronco 01-12-2004, 04:50 PM why was this edited? if someone on this board is going to F*** someone over like this there info should be posted.
GearHead 01-12-2004, 08:28 PM i think you should leave his info up. if and when he ships, or gives back the money, then a retraction should be posted, and his info removed.
last thing we need in this board is some jerk ripping people off. nip this in the bud before it gets another person.
nu_bronco 01-12-2004, 08:39 PM Well, I am cool with not posting his info. I just hope that this post makes it where someone else doesn't get ripped off. And that it shows anyone that thinks about ripping someone not to. I also hope no one will sell to him because of this but that probably won't happen but it would be nice.
gearrat 01-12-2004, 08:52 PM to answer a question that has been asked.. its simple personnal information is to remain just that personnal.
irwin 01-13-2004, 08:57 AM being on the message board also allows the person to deny the acusation if innocent.in fact if your innocent i would think as soon as you found out of acusation you would leave a responce denying wrong doing.
Franklin 01-23-2004, 11:30 AM Thieves suck. Thanks for informing the rest of us who to never buy from, never give help to, ect. And if someone else knows him personally YOU are not helping the situation at all.
Franklin 01-23-2004, 11:31 AM Theives suck. Thanks for informing the rest of us who to never buy from, never give help to, ect. And if someone else knows him personally YOU are not helping the situation at all.
muddinmike 01-23-2004, 12:30 PM And if someone else knows him personally YOU are not helping the situation at all.
WTF is that supposed to mean? yeah i know him what do you want me to do go break his phuckin arm? I got ripped off 85 bucks by some a$$hole on this board over a set of coil springs too. Shit happens and the world is full of dickheads. I gave nu-bronco calebs cell number and told caleb that he needs to send the part out or give him his money back. Why dont you come up here and talk to him frank :enforce
plug ugly 01-23-2004, 01:09 PM dude this post was just uncool by all means..
he has alot on his plate do deal with and I am sure this post will not help him hurry up.
I totally disagree. Even if he is busy, that is no excuse. he can still inform this guy whats going on, or he should never have commited to making said deal.
this kind of stuff really pisses me off. i have always tried my hardest to be a good, fair and honest seller/buyer, many times shipping parts without first recieving the money. At the very least, I try and let the buyer/seller know if I run into any snags. Now that this guys reputation is on the line, we can all see what kind of guy he is. If he makes good, then people will trust that he does what is right and contiune to do business with him.
If you got screwed on springs, you should have asked for help on a forum like this or where ever you bought them from.
muddinmike 01-23-2004, 02:36 PM Yeah i bought the coils on here. It doenst matter it's in the past. Good luck on getting anything from caleb. timmy he does have a lot on his plate but thats no excuse, how hard is it to stop by ups or call and have them pick the box up? He recently moved out of his old house with his GF after the breakup and into a new joint and he also doesnt have a job. I dont think he has internet access anymore so i wouldnt count on him backing himself up here either. And even if he did ship the harness you dont need it anymore so how it winds up is you got shafted. Welcome to the wide world of internet sales. But i will do the whole board a favor and call him tonight and ask him to send your money back nu-bronco.
MudMad 01-23-2004, 06:36 PM Dam, dudes. don't be so uptight. It's OK to say what you feel, especially when you get burned by someone from your family. That's what I think of this site, is that we are all a family of fun lovin' Bronco bustin' Mud whompin' Ball bustin' Nice Guys & Gals. If someone ripped me off, I'd be pissed and share that info w/you just like nu-bronco did. But hey, it's not muddinmikes problem or fault he knows a flake. He tried to call this guy and is even going to try again. Now, if someone rips me or my family off he will pay the price. Whether it's getting lit up on this board or beat down behind the shed out back he will not want to rip someone in my family off again. I'm sure that this will get worked out in the long run. "Can't we all just get along", besides, life is just way too short and too much fun to let S**T like this effect us so negatively. Have a great day everyone.
nu_bronco 01-23-2004, 07:27 PM Okay, everyone. I am no longer mad. I have vented my frustration and have told everyone here about the situation. I hope no one else gets screwed like this.
As for anyone talking smack on MuddinMike, you should apologize. He has been very helpful. Its not like he can go pull a gun on Caleb and tell him to hand it over, ( or could you? Just joking. ) He gave me Caleb's phone number and even talked to him and told him it wasn't cool what was happening. I have thanked him and I will thank him again for helping out.
And like someone else said, he will get his some day. Maybe, he will get ripped off, who knows, and to tell the truth I don't care anymore. Fawk it, its over and done with.
Oh, by the way if anyone wants to drive to Kansas City and help me put the new wiring harness in, I will be doing it today and tomorrow. Oh, and I will have lots of :beer for everyone. Thanks again MuddinMike.
MudMad 01-23-2004, 08:31 PM There, There, now, isn't that better. I'm glad that we are starting to get along. Hey, btw, it really sucks that you're out the $45.00 bucks and not even a phone call back to say thanks for the money. I'm sure you'll get that harness hooked up and be on the road real soon. I agree, I don't think anyone should be disin' on muddinmike, hell he's one of the most helpfull guys here. Plus I think he bought some rims from me last year and I hope you're enjoying them. I sold a lot of stuff so I can't remember exactly who/what went were. :thumbup
plug ugly 01-24-2004, 12:02 AM hmm, hope you guys dont think I m busting his balls. I am not trying to. mudmad, as you know from our dealings, honesty is important. you were a great seller, and hopefully you thought of me as a good buyer. Its all about reputation when it comes to stuff like that. Those like this fella caleb ruin it for the honest folk. Personally, i think mike has been very honorable in trying to help out, even tho its his buddy.
muddinmike 01-26-2004, 03:12 PM hahaha he is a jackass! talked to him this weekend and he claims he sent you a money order a few weeks ago........... maybee it will pop up in the mail i dunno :wacko
nu_bronco 01-26-2004, 03:58 PM hahaha he is a jackass! talked to him this weekend and he claims he sent you a money order a few weeks ago........... maybee it will pop up in the mail i dunno :wacko
Well, if it ever shows up I will let the board know. Thanks again.
lecifer 01-28-2004, 09:00 PM Even grocery stores post bad checks w/ personal info. Sounds like your best revenge is living well. Hope the di(khead gets his act toghther. :beer makes the world a better place.
MyFullSize 01-28-2004, 10:42 PM I got a lot on my plate too, but a trip to FedEx or USPS is only minutes out of a day. Its really, really easy to toss someting in a box, tape it up, drive to shipper, throw $5 on the counter and walk away... Isnt it? :-)
Ive had similar happenings before. There is no excuse. If the harness was still in the truck, Id understand it, but why advertise something that isnt ready to ship? Thats idiotic.
Andrew
Franklin 01-29-2004, 12:42 PM WTF is that supposed to mean?
I gave nu-bronco calebs cell number and told caleb that he needs to send the part out or give him his money back. Why dont you come up here and talk to him frank :enforce
You did what I thought you should do. If I knew someone who was ripping another I would tell them to fix the situation (which you did) and post an update of the situation (which you did). Relax dude.
MudMad 01-29-2004, 01:01 PM 1st thanks plug ugly for the compliment. Muddinmike, you are a good person just trying to help out. I think this sets a bad example of how we all have to be careful, even w/those we trust. Unfortunately this happened on our site. I think posting this info is helpful for the future for all of us. I'm sure what comes around goes around, and he'll get his.
jopes 03-01-2004, 05:29 PM from what I have seen sending one a USPS money order if they do not ship you can go file charges at the post office. Supposed to be a federal offence.
Did you ever get your money back or the harness?
