wanted to buy the aussie locker from Torqmasters last week. first went online and left them an email - it isn't the most professional website i've ever seen, there is no automatic online ordering procedure, you have to leave them an email. after three days - no response, so i called them and got - an answering machine! i left a message on that, too.

by the end of the week, i still hadn't heard anything back from them, so i sent an email to the president, who emailed me back the next day that they were "away" and that someone was supposed to be monitoring messages and responding. he said he would call me the next day to take my order...

well, 3 days later, no phone call. i am simply amazed. if i didn't want this thing so bad, i would send them a nice juicy email telling them how poorly i think of their company...

They are in austrailia or from austrailia. Hence the aussie locker. I have delt with them and they were fine with me. I was pretty sure I was able to order right off their website. Dont remember.

i ordered online. have always gotten prompt returns on my email. only bad thing to say about them is that the locker has been on back order for about 2 months. but they did tell me this up front.

i sent the prez another email today, wonder if/when i'll get a reply...i read somewhere they were waiting on the 8.8 for the rear to come out in March, is the backorder you are talking about for the d44? that would suck, as i was hoping to install it before a FSB run in February...

nope, nothing. i will be really amazed if they don't call today. i just sent the prez, bill cole, a reply email stating i am expecting his call...keep you posted. if this weren't such a good product and priced so well, i would be obliged to tell them off. but since i want it so bad i can taste it, i'll put up with the bs a little longer.

well, they (as in the prez. bill cole) finally called at 4 pm today! whoopee!

the prez apologized, took my order, and then going over the tax he was like, ok, $245, plus...i was like "whoa, what happened to $200...?"

he said "the prices went up Jan 1..."

i said "after all the delay you put me through, are you kidding me?"

he said, "no, i am not kidding you."

we went back and forth, and i may have led him to believe that several hundred FSB'ers were waiting for my review of this product (i will write one up after the paragon run in feb), so he gave in and sold it to me for $200 plus tax. phew.

he sounded like a nice guy. apparently demand is way exceeding supply and they don't have the personnel to field all the calls they get. i thought that was a good problem for a company to have. anyway, he didn't say anything about a backorder, so i am expecting it in a week or so.

Good, finally! Price is good too... Make sure to write up a good review... convincing my wife in letting me get one for the Bronco almost depends on you! :toothless

mine showed up yesterday. i only paid 199 for it. there is a rather long thread on pirate about the aussie locker. from what i gathered there, they just cant build them fast enuff. didnt read one bad remark about the locker itself though. so hopefully it will be worth the wait. bill did mention on pirate that the prices were going up jan 1st.

I have e-mailed them several times about questions that I had and I have had prompt responses. so dont let this issue pull you away from ordering a aussie locker

OK, went to www.torqmasters.com

clicked on "SHOP"

Clicked on "SUV"

Scrolled down to Ford Bronco Full Size
came to this page:
https://offroadlockers.com/suvs.html

Then clicked on "Buy"

Then selected quanity.

Then click "Add to cart"
took me to this link:
https://offroadlockers.com/shp/sto_add_product.phtml?PHPSESSID=d92ea276cd802140c9 da8b1b89a85c67

Another thing is that the price is not $245.00 it is only $229.00.
If you paid more than that I would inquire on that.

then clicked on view cart:
https://offroadlockers.com/shp/sto_view_cart.phtml?pid=1&PHPSESSID=d92ea276cd802140c9da8b1b89a85c67

Then selected "Checkout"
came to this link:
https://offroadlockers.com/shp/checkout_uf08.phtml?pid=1&PHPSESSID=d92ea276cd802140c9da8b1b89a85c67

Then that takes you to a page that lets you input your name address etc.

Then takes you to a page to select a shipping method:
You can have anything from Overnight-next-morning for about $90.00
or you can go cheap and select UPS ground for around $18.95.
They also have everything in between.

The web site is very normal and has a 128 bit encryption for transactions.
This is just like any other e-commerce web site.

I did not find anything that stated you have to email to purchase their products.

Hope this helps. Jackhart your post may be a little misleading.
I found this to be very very easy and this only took me 3-5 minutes.

This is just my assumption though, and I want to add that it is still BS that the president of the company didnt get your order right out when you made the complaint. I back you up that it shouldnt have taken this long regardless.
I am sure they havent taken this long to cash in on your payment.

I still hope everything works out for you bud, just thought I would clear this up. :beer

er, ok, that is just one point I made about the ordering, Beerman. but how about the total lack of response from these guys... i still haven't heard anything back from them at all and that just isn't right. no acknowledgement of my order, no response from customer service after two inquiries, even the president acknowledged to me (when i spoke to him weeks ago) that they are just too busy and away all the time - i mean hell, you get an answering machine when you try their 800 number, wtf is that? granted they are a small business, but that is no way to stay in business, and i don't think that i am being misleading at all. and how could it be just me?? dunno, just a bad experience all around.

but i do believe in the product so i am willing to tolerate this nonsense. i just wish i could get it and put it in before i go to paragon later this month.

i didnt have any problem with communication with them. i got a responce the next day everytime i contacted them.
the two month wait for the locker was the only draw back.

Jackhart I did not mean any offense to you whatsoever.
It was not a way for me to flame you at all. I was just assuming tht they were having problems with your order because it wasnt made on the shop part of the page.

You are 100% right though, it is BS that even after you talked to the president he didnt get your order out right away.

I apologize if what i said sounded rude at all, that was truly not my intent.

I feel so strong about the product also, I cant wait to get mine.

Let us all know when you get it bud.
Take care.

Hey guys, just an update to let you know that I have still not heard back from Torqmasters regarding my order. I have emailed them a few more times with no response, and today I tried calling to leave sales dept. a message - came back as "mailbox is full" so I couldn't leave one. I then grabbed their fax number and just popped them off a letter stating I just want someone to get back to me and let me know where my order is, even if it is going to be another month...

I also let them know I was planning on writing a review on the Aussie Locker for my fellow FSB'ers here, and that I was planning on testing it at Paragon next weekend, but it looks like that won't happen now and I am damn disappointed, to say the least. I feel that their customer service rots, and I just wish I didn't want their product so damn bad. I also know none of y'all have had the same problems as me, just wondering if it's my bad luck or what.

I just sent Stangmata a PM because he lives in Rochester, NY where they are located, to see if he could swing by and help me out. Keep you posted.

Edit: they replied today!! woo hoooooo! they are maybe shipping it out this week, and they said they are going to revise their answering service and "hire someone" for customer service!! i think that may have been because my letter faxed to them today referenced the thousand or so members of FSB who were waiting on the results of my locker!!
