I took the top off today. Getting my new soft top made this week so i wanted be sure it came off without any problems stripping bolts etc. I went for a ride and I felt like I was 18 again :thumbup so I shot a few pics. It should be nice on the beach this summer.

It was meant to be removed.

Took mine off for the first time today also. Whewww PIA. Wasn't as hevy as I thought though. Did it my self with two big tow straps.

I take/took my doors off. Replace the factory pins with some quick release ones, quick disconnect wires, and took out the buzzer.

Its pretty stock other than the 4"rancho lift and wheels. The bumpers were replaced by the previous owner which were originally red.
The mud flaps or whatever they are called were on it when im got it. They look like a product of Lund to me. I havent really checked. they fit very well.

The weather sure was nice today. I couldnt have picked a better day. Removing the top was not like taking off my old top from my 84. Ford really stuck us with these stupid tamper proof torque head screws. I had to run to sears and by a new set of sockets. I greased up the screws so they went back in like butter. I should have some new pics with the soft top probably by next weekend.

They came with "sport bars" pretty much for show only. You can go to junkyards and try to find the factory ones, sometimes they have them laying around

:thumbupJealousy is sinking in. There's still 3 feet of snow on the ground and 24 inches of ice on the lake. Two more weeks and I'll switch to the soft top, hopefully the snow & ice storms will be completely done by then, but there'll be plenty of snow, so I'll have to get a topless pic playing on a snowbank!

also where do you ride on the beach in the summer. Just got a new tranny and tires so i am ready to go. I live by jones beach but i do not think you are allowed on the beach from memorial day to labor day.
