My '79 body is rusting through the cab roof around the drip rails. I have a '78 donor body with no title. My wife says just use the donor body, nobody will notice the different VIN. I'm not sure I agree. What course of action do I take? Repair the '79 roof (welding and patching, I don't know how to weld) or use the donor body with different VIN. The donor also has good fenderwells and bed sides, which my '79 does not.

I know I have been asking a few questions recently this is because I am about to start my Bronco build. I know some of you have swapped cabs, etc. what issues am I going to run into (not mechanical issues, legal issues. Tags, title, etc.) It is currently tagged as a Street Rod in MD.

You cant do much, if the donor cab doesnt have a title (can you get a new one issued?). Unless you swap the VIN plates, altho i dont recommend that for obvious reasons ;)
