Anyone participitating in the cleanup?

Unfortunately, I work Saturdays - otherwise this looks like a good thing to do.

Thanks for the post/link. I'll be there. Assuming my fiancee doesn't have something planned for me.

Yup. Sounds like April 26th is going to be taken up for me. Maybe get some wheeling in there too. That is of course if I don't work.

I use, used the trail and shooting area, so I think it is important to get out there and help clean it up. Thanks for the link

Sure did. Thats why we need to get out there and clean it up so that stuff doesn't sit forever

only the slot canyon is closed not the area at the entrance to the wheeling area.

I think I am already tied up that weekend but if not I will be there.

It really depends. My truck is torn apart and getting a diesel up and running in 24 days and making it dependable could be a slight problem.

I will be there. Update on the shooting area the entrance to lefthand/canage is still open to shooters. Do not shoot across the trail. If a truck is coming up the trail your must have your muzzle pointed to the ground. You must ploice your brass/shells. For those of you that do not reload please let me know and i will be more than happy to take your brass. If you shoot at something whether you brought it in or not you MUST haul it out. No household appliances, glass, etc.... the forest service is actively enforcing these conditions. they are who I got my information from yesterday.

are they going to close the shooting area for us to clean it up? or are we going to be arguing with people who want to shoot still. i may be selling the rig but i still wanna help keep trails open for others.

your not going to be arguing. I am sure there will be alot of shooters out there. Myself included. The forest service will be out there I don't think you have anything to worry about.

ok i just know a few years back me, my dad and few friends went shooting up at some place near red feather and there was all kinds of crap there. when we were done we started to clean up some stuff. few min later a bunch of guys showed up yelling at us to leave the "targets" there and threatened to start shooting even if we kept cleaning. but if the forest service is going to be patroling it regularly or have a posted ranger like when i was there all will be well. so lets get the hell out there and clean that crap up!

I was up there about 4 years ago for the cleanup, and they had the shooting area closed down. Don't plan on doing any shooting until the cleanup is finished.

Yeah, i've done it. Gets tight in a few areas, but if you have a good spotter and some experience you can get threw it.

Cool. I'm not sure I'll be able to make it there for the clean-up, but if you all were going to run it later in the afternoon I may be able to make it.

We'll see. I dunno. Left hand is kind of like dirt road driving without the great scenery that makes dirt road driving so great.

:scratchhe haha. This is true for the beginning part of the trail...definitely. That part requires no skill whatsoever. But once you get up to the part of the trail where there are three different paths to choose from...it gets quite a bit more difficult. I chose to go straight ahead and it gets tight in spots. It made me worry a few times because I nearly nicked a few trees. But since my truck is so clean, I worry over pretty much everything. But I think it is a great trail to do for a stock bronco on 31's. Especially if you're looking to do a moderate trail that won't guarantee any damage.

Carnage on the other hand is more then likely going to leave you with a dented up body panel, or torn off bumper.
