I have a 1992 f-150 which unfortunately has to go, she's a good truck and will last another 200k with maintenance and a transmission rebuild. It's been lifted with a 4" black diamond suspension lift kit, no lift blocks or coil spacers. This was done the right way with lift coils and lift springs. It's got 244k on it but it drives and runs really well for how many miles it has. The 302 runs amazing and starts immediately, Runs great and idles at about 500 rpm with no noise. The transmission does need to be rebuilt but it will last another 6-8 months with little babying, these transmissions are a dime a dozen. Swapping a junkyard m50d-r2 is a two hour job and is cheap. The o2 sensor is bad but the original cats where replaced with high flow cats and is dumped after two glass packs. The exhaust sounds excellent and is throaty but not too loud unless your WOT.This is a great truck for someone looking to haul and tow things, or go off roading. It does get decent gas mileage even with the bad 02 I've managed around town about 13 with a light foot. The 302's with a light foot and everything operational get around 15-16 with a light foot.he pictures where taken after swapping in a new radiator and I had spilled some so I was trying to get it out. I'm asking 2000k obo. Thanks for looking, More pictures will be provided this weekend if requested.

Wrong forum just so you know. So you want 2k for a truck with a bad tranny and over 200k miles? Is that the original engine?

Yes I want 2k for a truck with a bad tranny. It's the original motor but it was rebuilt 5-6 months ago. This truck is incredibly clean and I really would like you to find a truck with no rust and a pretty fresh motor for 2k.

I actually see it quite a bit now with the price of gas going up. It is a much better deal with a rebuilt engine as i was assuming original no rebuild based on you not mentioning it. how is the frame that seems that the ttb trucks when they flex out as much as your picture shows transfer a lot of the strain to the frame?

Ford designed these trucks to have frame flex which is why the bed and cab are twisted at separate angles. ttb does transfer some strain, alot of it is based around where the radius arms meet the frame and can crack the frame with moderate wheeling and drop down brackets.

Dude no they didn't. These trucks suffer bad from a lot of that frame flex

Ford did design these trucks to have frame flex.I'm busy so I only searched for a second and didn't find a link. But these chassis are open c channels and they were designed to have frame flex to a degree. This is pretty normal for all trucks and I have yet to see a truck have problems from frame flex.

right after you got here about ur d60's or some shit it just stuck out at me cause you were brand new. You think your right. I am not going to get in a pissing war with you but that kind of frame flex is hell on a truck.

I think that the split between the cab and box gives it flex.My old truck always flexed a bunch at the split but it was a 1970.:beer

I agree that it is much better on an f150 than our broncos where our bodies eat it but It still seems to play hell on the ttb trucks because the suspension doesn't give as much.
