A couple of days ago I heard a small animal in my junk pile on the side of the house I suspected was a rat. Yana my dog also knew something was there so I bought a couple of the new Victor Rat traps to test them out.

They are a little better than the typical wood based traps having an easy set and release system and hve a greatly designed place to place the bait.

In this case I used peanut butter. It has a little cup to place it that pretty much makes it a guarantee that the little bastards will get what's comming to them.

Well in two days, two of them have ben caught. Here is number two.

Let about 5 or 6 of these things go on your property and you will not have rats period and wont have to clean up

If you have rattle snake problems on top of rats (i dont know about there but in the south they go hand in hand) get some of these and it will take care of both at the same time. The King snake is a natural predator to the rattle snake

i used those little bags of poison when i had rats in my garage. smeared a little peanut butter on the outside of the bag, and inside a week, i found a bunch of them dead. :thumbup

Poison's out since I don't want to chance my dog getting a hold of it.

My parents live about 30 miles from me and have had a dozen or so rattlers in or around their yard allready this year. I haven't seen any yet over here.

I have found that CCI shotshells in .38 Special are very efficient at turning rats inside out. :toothless

my best advice to you is to burn everything. rats don't like fire. but y'all in California so that is out. get a case of beer sit by the pile with a 20 gauge with birdshot and wait for them to come out. then blast away

we always just took those big wooden f-ers and drove a roofing nail up through the bottom of 'em.
