This maybe an old question but does any one know of any good wheeling spots above boulder other then left hand? It’s to crowded for my taste.
I live in the Denver area and just got myself a Bronco. It’s been about 6 years since I’ve been able to 4wheel and I know a lot of trails have been closed.

You dont have to wheel near boulder. You can go west or south.Like spring creek near georgetown or bill moore lake near empire.Watch this section for trail rides with other bronco guys like myself.

the old town site of carbou near nederland one trail goes towards rainbow lakes and the other one goes into the old town of eldora. These trails might not be open yet. your best bet would be to get the book "guide to northern colorado backroads and 4-wheel drive trails" by charles a wells. he has other books about 4X4 trails in colorado Moab california and other states. We have found his books the best ones on the market. they give great trails info and very good directions and also have GPS coordinates. these books are a must for anyone looking for new trails.

Me and some buds are getting a run together.Right now we have three that are coming to chinaman gulch. If you guys wanna group and caravan out there that would rad.So far it's just a f-350 highboy on 33's,a early 90's ranger on like 4 inches of lift and 35's, and a 2000 ranger 3 inch lift on 33's.It would be sick to meet up with some more fanboys, and if you guys don't wanna run chinaman were open to ideas.

There are some great trails up by Jamestown and Ward that not many people know about (I like it that way). There is Gillespie Gulch on the Jamestown side that takes you up to a ridge and then out to Nugget Hill. It is a moderate trail with one tough section right after an old mine and right at the old mining cabin. There is another way up to Nugget Hill from the Ward side but it is very technical and should not be attempted by anyone without at least 35's and lockers and alot of experience. If you scew this section up it could be the last mistake you ever make. There are also alot of trails up off the Peak to Peak Hwy that are fun and easy. Most of them are just dirt roads that go everywhere. Let me know if you ever want to hit these trails up. Although my Bronco is not really ready for anything hardcore.

Johnny and Pierson Park off of HWY 36 are nice and both are relatively easy.
