Hey guys anyone know anything about the CAGE 4" kit for Jeep Cherokees?
Its cheap at 4wheelonline.com and I knwo alot of yall run their stuff on your rigs but never heard anything from them on Jeeps. The kit comes with progressive rate coils, rear AALs, sway bar links, their shocks, and Lower control arms. Pretty complete kit IMO. Going wit 31x10.50s also.
Oh BTW I got a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sprt. chili pepper red! 4.0L 4x4 stock and factory everything cept for a full Alpine sound system. 1 owner with all the records of everything from fixing the starter to oil changes. This things clean for a 10 yr old Jeep. Never off roaded or anything. Everything works(I'm excited cuz on my truck its a different stroy). Paid $3600 for it. Averaging 19 MPG!! Whole lot better than the 12 I'm getting in the BKO (which I still have don't worry).I'll get some pics as soon as I can.

Their TJ lift is overpriced and isn't all that impressive to begin with...the coils are ok, but that's about it.
I don't know anything specific about the XJ lift, sorry.

Figured you'd chime in Hopper.
Well whole kit is $550 shipped. Thought they were good because ppl on here use their stuff fot their more off road rigs. Its cheaper than the Rough Country 4.5" and I can't go much bigger without the SYE. Just using the 1" TC drop I made tonight for now.

Damn, that is cheap. I'd consider it pretty heavily at that price.
The TJ lift is $1k for four non adjustable control arms, a piece of square tube to drop the transfer case, crappy discos, rear track bar relocation bracket and coils. That's like 1/2 to 1/3 more than any other company for the same stuff...

Yeah I thought they were expensive might need to jump on it in case it goes up. I'm calling them tomorrow this description just says what it has not really much more. I'll let you know.
What are the pros and cons of pro rate coils? Good for DD?

No pic on 4wheelonline but googled the item number thats what it showed on another site.
Here's the info:
Includes:
*2 progressive rate front coils springs
*2 rear add-a-leaf
*Drop pitman arm
*Long travel front shock adapters to mount more common "eye" style shock
*Four new CAGE Nitrogen pressurized, velocity sensitive, dual tube shocks
*Two billet aluminum bump stop drops
*Longer sway bar links front and rear
*Driveline modifications may be necessary
Specs:
*Progressive rate springs provide a softer ride on road while helping to prevent bottoming out of the suspension and increase available suspension down travel.
*Drop pitman arm allows for better steering geometry while also placing the drag link pivot joint back to the center of its travel range after lifting.
*Nitrogen Pressurized, velocity sensitive valved CAGE shocks provide for a superior ride quality over stock while also allowing for the increased suspension travel the progressive coils provide. Nitrogen pressurized for longer lasting performance and fade resistance. Twin tubes mean they can take normal "trail dings" from gravel and sticks better than a conventional single tube shock.
*Billet aluminum bump stop drops allow for larger than stock tires to be ran while also allowing for increased suspension travel. NOTE: some tire/wheel combinations may require other modifications to keep the tires from contacting the body.
*Longer heavy duty replacement sway bar links ensure the sway bar sits at the proper angle for ride quality and handling.

Progressive is better for a DD, yes.
That's a pretty good deal. I'd at least pick up some nice adjustable LCAs to help correct your wheelbase/pinion angle though....or if that will drive decently, run it for a while and pick up a long arm upgrade at some point. :toothless

Dont waste your money on ANY twin tube shock. Spend the money the first time and get a decent monotube. You will hate yourself if you ever feel the difference between the two.

I've got monotubes on my BKO and had them on my 89 XJ. Whats the difference in ride and such?

Mono- good. Larger piston, dissipates heat better. Can last longer and take harsher punishment.
Twin- shitty. Small piston, etc. etc. etc.
