I replaced my 34 X 10.50 X 15 6 ply LTB's on my red Sami with good, old fashioned, tried and true 33 X 12.50 X 15 8 ply TSL's. The 5th tire...aka-the spare...is an LTB that I warrantied out, so it was only 20 bucks or so.
WHAT?
Not a matching spare?
Well...
Oddly enough, thanks in part to that silly tape measure they use at Interco and wheel size ( 15 X 8 ), they are actually the exact same height, 33" on the nose. They are also less then 1" different in width. Go figure. Truly amazing ain't it.
So here's the cool part.
A Toyota buddy turned me onto these valve stems.

They are actually spec'ed for filling tractor tires with water...and air. I've had them in waiting for a long time, waiting for the next tire change to install them. Because there's no way I'm taking apart 32 bolt bead locks unless I have too.
You will have to drill out your valve stem hole to 5/8 to fit them in. They are brass and use a taper and O ring for both sealing points. Here's how they beak down.

I have used just about every type of air downs on the market, from Klune-V RAD's to small rocks and sticks. Some methods work better then others but none work as quickly as these little puppies.
They actually may work too well. I was able to air one of the 33's from 20 pounds to 0 in less then 15 seconds. The hole is big enough to see my best buddy threw.

Here's what they look like installed with a Never-Loss valve stem cap.

So...why do I like them better the RAD's? Cost.
RAD's are $20 - $25 each plus shipping. These just over 5 bucks after shipping.
So...where from.
