I know 31's seem small to all you guys but i just got my truck and need to start somewhere. I need tires just to drive it. the ones on it are very dry. Lookng for tires and wheels or just tires. 31 x 10.50 x 15. Suspention is stock and has twin traction beam in front. maybe 33's will fit.....I don't know. Thanks

Depending on your engine and gearing, 31 may be the best bet. At any rate, WalMart sells a "Liberator", tread is similar to a BFG Land Terrain. At $77 a pop, you cant go wrong. Its whats in store for mine after the engine is in, my tires are dryrotted from sitting before I bought it.

I calculate about $350-$375 for 4 installed.

Tire size doesnt mean everything. If yours is a daily driver (Like mine will be), Id go 31 or 32, but bigger than that, your pissing your money away IMHO. (Ill be towing and $hit too, dont want a sky high truck)

I would personaly go with 32s. i just switched up to the 32s from 31s on my 95, and am very happy. 31s look tiny, and 32s are not hardly any more if your already buying tires.

Id go 31's. Thats what I have on my 78 bronco. Gets good acceleration, better gas milage than it would with bigger tires, doesnt eat up U joints like bigger tires will and the same for bearings and ball joints. If they made a 31 - 33" BFG krawler Id have some :thumbup

What size tires are you running dave? And how did they do at Paragon? :shrug

31 x 10.50 BFG Long Trail TA's. Not exactly an off road tire.

I was totally surprised how well they ran in the slop at Paragon, I didn't get stuck once (there were some dicey "pucker" moments, however), and I didn't even have the front locker installed. Clearance was usually more of an issue for me. I think a more aggressive tread would be appropriate for Paragon, though, it looks like it could get really muddy in the spring. :rockon

You're turck did do well with those tires, as fas as the pucker moments, I wish I had a dash mounted video to capture some the facial expressions. Especially the one when you got sideways and slid backwards. :thumbup
