I'm looking to buy another truck and I test drove a 2004 GMC Sierra Denali with Quadrasteer. I like it, alot. I plan on buying it if the loan goes through. Anyway, I am just wondering if there are any known problems I should look for in this truck. Have there been a lot of problems with the Quadrasteer system?
Thanks,
Cory

Best bet is to do a search for a forum for the Chevys/GMC's. My wife drives an 06 Yukon Denali and we have had no problems, it is not quadrasteer tho.

Heres my idea on it. If it was such a great idea that works well then why not keep it around?
It got discontinued for some reason.

Expense, mostly. No one would pay for it.
The people that DO have it are very pleased.

Ive heard that the quadrasteer works pretty good. It does require a special fluid, but that can be had at the dealer for less than $10 bucks a quart.
The reason GM discontinued it is that it added like 3 or 4 grand to the price of the truck and nobody wanted to pay for it. It was available on both the 1500s and 2500s from 02-04, GMC & Chebby offered it. I do see some for sale on occasion, but I see many more being driven on a daliy basis.
