ok here's the deal. Im going to be buying some 33s for my 99 dodge ram. The mud rovers cost $133 each compared to the bfgoodrich muds at $204 each. I was wondering if anyone new about the dunlop mud rovers being a good on and offroad tire for the price.

Hey DrewMan. My original plans after the lift was for 37" MTR's but they were on backorder. I had to go back to Nebraska in september for a funeral and needed tires so I bought the Mud rovers. 1800 miles round trip and they road real good on the highway, really good in the mud and snow. The price seems real high at $133, I got 35X12.50's for $116 at Sam's Club.

$100 for dunlop radial mud rovers at www.tirerack.com. My cousin has the 35's on his Suburban and he likes them. Does quite a bit of highway driving and does contract plowing in the winter and they're workin out good.

I agree with the others on the price my friend....Thats a little high....The 33's BFG's Mud-Terrain should be at about $150 each and the Dunlop's at about $100-$125....

As for the ride, I know the BFG's for mud-terrains are pretty quiet and do last a long time...As for the Dunlops, I dont know to much but, I dont think they have the rim protection like the BFG's those. I could be wrong.

If you have any more thoughts you can go to there web pages for comparison. Good luck. www.tirerack.com (http://www.tirerack.com)

I hated my dunlops. Load as hell for such a mild tread, didnt grab rocks well and, and didnt hold up real well. MTR's are the best similar tire IMO, and yes I have had all three.

I have 35x12.5 Mud Rover's .. I think they are an awesome tire for the price. Sure MTR's are better .. sure Swampers are better, but they are another 1/3 or more expensive. Mine are wearing well and are a pretty damn great "bang for the buck" kind of tire. They are a 6 ply and have tough sidewalls ... up here in buttfuk quebec, MTR's would have cost me OVER $300 apiece for 35's, so I was looking for something beefy enough to handle the weight of the Bronco that didn't cost me my left nut.

I picked up a 35" General Grabber and just about pissed myself at how cheezy and wimpy those things are .. if anybody ever offers them to you, stay away.

Air down the Dunlops and they really aren't too bad in the rocks..they are strong enough to handle the weight and the low air pressure ... something I would NEVER do with the General...... .remember, you get what you pay for and the performance for the price of the Dunlops is a prety damn good deal

but, that's just my 2 cents
