I was wondering if anyone knew of any decent fire roads (or at least unpaved scenic drives) around Salt Lake City? Looking for full size friendly, and not even really all that challenging. just something where you need more than a car to get there, and occaisonally need 4wd to get where you want.
Honestly, I'm more looking for a "relaxing drive" than an offroad adventure.

This site describes the options available in American Fork Canyon......just South of SLC off I-15.
Great sig.....I read Seton's "Woodcraft" and have successfully utilized his recommendations on several continents.

Awesome man, thanks!
Yeah, the quote has stuck with me for about the last 10 years. It's quoted in the BSA handbook and I remember reading that and thinking about some of the guys in my troop that would freak the hell out over nothing and how all it did was make things worse.
