I am headed out to Denver...Broomfield, CO actually for work and thought I would ask a quick question.
After I arrive tomorrow morning I will have 2 or 2 1/2 hours to kill before my co worker arrives. I would prefer not to sit at the airport and wait and was wondering if there is anywhere close by that I could kill a couple of hours (I will have a rental car).
Based on where I recall the Denver airport to be and how remotely out of the way it is, this might not be possible but thought I would ask.

After some rafting at Clear Creek on Thursday morning I will have some free time before I head home on Friday, so there is more opportunity to explore and have fun.

There's hiking and biking up and down the front range. Elitches a 6 flags amusment park. Downtown museums. Take in one of our lakes? Maybe a baseball game? A drive into the mountains/get some altitude!

From DIA, you're not going to do much with 2 1/2 hours. It'll take an hour of that to get back and forth to Denver. There is a decent air museum at the old Stapleton airport and a bug museum across the road from that. They would be reachable in that time frame. The air museum is Wings Over the Rockies.

I wasn't thinking that you had to pick this guy up at the airport?

You could always 4-wheel your rental car!!!

Good stuff!!
Yeah, I will have to go back to the airport to pick up my coworker.
4 wheelin' the rental would be nice.

Yeah, 2 hours isn't enough time really to go anywhere significant. I grew up in Broomfield. Like stated before, it will take you a good 30-45 min to get to Denver then another 30-45 to get back. From DIA, Broomfield is a good 45 minutes also.

All of that sounds good but it'll probably take you an hour just to get out of the terminal...
... But then again it'll take him the same so go to the bar and wait for him to call and ask where your at.
