Hoping for more participation then Red Cone generated. Stock friendly, at least it was last time I ran it. Only about 25 miles west of Boulder nice and close:thumbup.
Perhaps a get together afterward at one of the Nederland food and drink establishments would be in order.
What say you?
Aug 31, Sept 7, or Sept 14th, Sorry I am kind of stuck on Sunday because of work.
Larston 08-14-2008, 04:05 PM If the planets align properly, I could be up for the 7th or the 14th. By the 14th the aspens should be putting on a good show.
Shadofax 08-14-2008, 06:11 PM I believe the only one I can't do is the aug. date.
foxfire 08-15-2008, 04:09 AM aug date works for me.
bronc_17113 08-15-2008, 04:10 AM maybe the 7th
wileec 08-15-2008, 10:17 AM Just found out Aug 31st is CU vs CSU football not a good day for me, got to make some $$$ I am liking the 7th.
Larston 08-15-2008, 11:31 AM The 7th should work. I can put together another trip on the 21st for aspen viewing :popc1:
wileec 08-15-2008, 11:48 AM I was thinking Argentine would be real pretty for aspen
Shadofax 08-16-2008, 01:05 AM The 7th should work. I can put together another trip on the 21st for aspen viewing :popc1:
That's looking like my preference as well for sept. as far as nailing the date down.
foxfire 08-16-2008, 02:00 AM ok soooooo the 7th?
im down. Got a few small things to get done to the bronco since the spring creek trip. Gonna try and get the steering all fixed and get rid of my custom shaped draglink. Oh and maybe get the carb workin better. All i know is when that 4speed goes in this winter so will an EFI set-up
wileec 08-17-2008, 06:39 AM Looks like the 7th it is. Will work out a time and place to meet as we get closer.
foxfire 08-18-2008, 12:42 AM cool
Aurorabusa 08-19-2008, 05:32 PM I might throw in a stock axle and show up for a change:thumbup
wileec 08-20-2008, 11:06 AM I might throw in a stock axle and show up for a change:thumbup
It would be good to see you up there should not be to much chance of carnage be nice to it a a stock axle would do fine.

co84rc 08-22-2008, 08:02 PM ive got a big pile of a ramcharger but id like to join you guys.
im a bronco lover at heart, just couldnt bring my self to make a trail rig out of my bronco.
bronc_17113 08-22-2008, 08:09 PM I'm sure u would be welcome we will just harass u a lil
co84rc 08-22-2008, 08:32 PM im definately not really a dodge guy,so i can take it.
id just like to wheel with some full size rigs for a change.

I've actually always liked the ramchargers. Thought about them along with the chevy k5 way back when I bought the bronco in '96. I liked the solid axle front right from the get go. I like the body lines actually, but don't like no removable top.
"ive got a big pile of a ramcharger"......hopefully a fond reference? not meant to describe the condition?

Like I said on CO4x4 you are more than welcome. I believe that I saw you had one tons under it so I do not beleive the pile comment for a minute.

lol,its a dodge so its a pile.
the tops come off no problem with a sawzall.putting it back on is a problem though.
i went with the ramcharger becuase it was $200 on craigslist and like the chevys the 1ton's bolt in.i have less in this ramcharger than i had in 460 in the bronco.
i wont bore you with the specs.
here it is so you guys recognize me.

Hefty 08-23-2008, 10:50 PM I think your trying to make that dodge look like my broncohttp://www.supermotors.net/getfile/655574/fullsize/023.jpg
Not a bad looking rig, and the price was right. I'm going to try and get mine back together by the 7th so I can make it.
co84rc 08-23-2008, 10:54 PM bronco envy? lol.
strangley enough my 78 bronco looked just like yours. flat black is cool.
Hefty 08-24-2008, 01:09 AM Flat Blk is the only way to go. doesn't show dents, scratches and it's easy to touch up
Hefty 08-28-2008, 10:32 PM Hey it's looking like I'm not going to be able to get my Bronco fixed in time. I haven't run Jenny Creek before and was wondering if the trail is to tight to run my superduty on. Ext cab long bed 6in lift 35's. Not a great trail truck but I don't want to beat it up as it is my DD
wileec 08-29-2008, 10:21 AM I do not remember how a long truck would fair, but with 35s I would think you would have a good chance. It has been a few years since I have been up there, damn trails keep changin.
Hefty 08-29-2008, 11:32 AM Yeah, I'm not really worried about whether it will be able to drive the trail but more about body damage

It's been a while since I ran that trail, too, but from what I remember of it, I wouldn't try to drag a big truck through it.
wileec 08-29-2008, 02:01 PM I a pretty sure we scraped the crap out of my rear bumper when I still had one.
Hefty 08-29-2008, 04:39 PM Thanks guys, I think I might hold off unless I can get the BKO fixed next week. Just don't want to beat up my $42k truck. Maybe I'll borrow a friends J##P or something. LOL

$42K?? I definitely wouldn't drag it through this trail :shocked Maybe my clapped out '87 F-250, but not a new one!

42K:shockedfor a truck:shocked I must be WAY out of touch.

Yep thats why i dont have a new one. Looked into it a few yrs ago and my response was a loud FOR A TRUCK!!!!!
Hefty 08-29-2008, 11:36 PM I own my own buisness and the truck is a great tax deduction. Lift, Tires, Axle upgrades, Sound system, even car washes are deductable. Yeah, I bought it new. It's 4 years old now with 60k on it. Trucks cost more back then. Saw a brand new one the other day for 37K. O well
