View Full Version : New to CO
fire bronco 08-20-2008, 01:21 AM Well.. my bronco made the 1200mi journey with trailer from Mammoth Lakes, CA to CO. HURRAY. No more CA yuppies. It was either CO, or back to the south. I think I made a good choice. Everyone been wheeling much? Anything planned coming up? I saw a post about a get-together... any word on that?
Cheers,
Devin
96blkbeauty 08-20-2008, 01:37 AM Hey man, welcome! Good to have another Colorado member. Get some pics up of it! It looks sweet. There is a trip planned for Sep 7th I think? Up to Jenny Creek.
foxfire 08-20-2008, 05:49 AM welcome and I just posted on the get together so check it out and see what you think. You mite also check out RMFTC.com

Shadofax 08-20-2008, 10:28 AM yes, Jenny Creek Sept. 7th. Details will be coming. It's not far outside of the Denver/Boulder area. The trail is rated a 4 so it's not difficult.
fire bronco 08-20-2008, 07:41 PM plenty of ca yuppies here
I'm not, nor have I ever been from CA. I just lived there at a ski resort for 3 years. I'm from VA. I'm a southerner, not a yuppie. Haha.
colohunter 08-21-2008, 12:19 AM great to hear you are not from CA. if you were a yuppie you would have to move to the republic of Boulder great to have you here
wileec 08-21-2008, 10:03 AM Welcome can nor wait to see you on the trail. Looks like we will not loose you in the trees.
bronc_17113 08-21-2008, 10:04 AM I wasnt sayin you specifically just sayin we have a lot of em here. Sc guy here myself so i am not native
fire bronco 08-21-2008, 11:26 AM Haha, no worries... I just want to make sure everyone know I'm not another CA transplant. Before I moved here, I already heard all the rumors and stories and such.... donkeys driving around with in and out burger stickers, pretending like they own the place. HAH... bastards. And yea.. I've lost my truck once... When we got 5' over night, and then another 2-3 feet by the time I went to my truck.

Hefty 08-22-2008, 02:52 AM Why not move to a ski resort again. Get tired of the rich uppies? I'm less that 10 min from 4 ski resorts and sometimes I wish I could get burried in 6ft of snow just so I don't have to deal with em.
fire bronco 08-22-2008, 11:20 AM Don't get me wrong, living at a ski resort is great, but, where I was, was way to remote for me. 3 hours to a small "city". I'm trying to get hired as a Firefighter, and the smaller the area, the harder it is, if they even have a paid staff. But I will miss all the snow and being a mile from the runs.
bronc_17113 08-22-2008, 02:17 PM Give me a hollar sometime if your interested in wildland. I am looking to get back to it next yr and could use someone to PT with in preperation .
