Bought my first Bronco today. A 1990 Eddie Bauer with a 302, E4OD, and a nice leak on the rear main. 144,000 miles on it. I'm the forth owner but I have all the maintenance records. Been reading this site for a little over a month. Already found the tech write up for replacing the seal. I have a 3 bolt auto hub(92-96?) on the right and a 5(87-91?)on the left. I'll be getting Warn premiums soon anyway. Going to buy a 351w off www.ford-motors-engines.com some time soon. A guy in December bought one from them but he didn't give a review, and I can't find the thread. Lots of search results for "351 engine swap." Want the ECU, flexplate, balancer, distributor, pan and intake before I buy. Read almost all of Fireguy's site but then I got cross eyed. BTW, I was raised in Portland OR, went to Bend OR for vacations and am temporarily in Cali cause thats where uncle sam wants me.

Sounds nice man, sounds like you now where you are going with your rig. Just one question. Are you sure you have an E4OD? I know my 88 has an AOD, and I thought the only upgrade done on the 302 was eventually it went to the AODE. Anyways, welcome! And ya, most of us go cross eyed reading Ryan's stuff.

The truck came with the Ford "Truck Shop Service Manual" (the second owner was a Ford mechanic so it came with a bunch of books and a code scanner) and I ran the VIN through it. It came out of the factory with an E4OD so unless it has been changed I still have it. Anybody have problems with the rear window getting scratched up because of bad weather stripping? Weather stripping has been fixed but that doesn't help the window.

The back window collects so much dust and dirt it's hard to keep it clean and from getting scratched. I too replaced the rear felt but it was too late! Enjoy and welcome! :thumbup
