View Full Version : Utah FSB Members
Revenant 09-02-2008, 01:09 PM How many active FSB members have we got in Utah? I'm asking to determine whether or not a meet (whether for food, wheeling, or both) would be worthwhile. Just because rolling along a highway in a group of iconic trucks is cool :toothless
I know of:
Myself (Revenant)
UTIBronco
The Bucking Bronco
And there's a black Bronco driver out there who's name I've forgotten :doh0715:
Please post up. :popc1:
Revenant 09-03-2008, 06:12 PM  I guess, like me, none of us visit the Mountain States Chapter sub-forum much.
gary78bronco 09-03-2008, 07:18 PM Im here.
gary78bronco 09-03-2008, 07:20 PM Not down for a cruise unless in town. Mine's not highway let alone freeway capible(sp). But always up for wheeling. Just have to get it back on the road.
nate13 09-03-2008, 08:45 PM I'm here too. But my Bronco is in a pile of parts, the pile is getting smaller but it's still there.
bronco165 09-04-2008, 05:17 PM A get together sounds great, here in central Ut. sounds really good. It would be cool to meet others that know what the best 4x4 ever made is.
gary78bronco 09-04-2008, 05:47 PM Lets plan a meet and greet then.
Canoeboy146 09-05-2008, 11:18 AM I would love to hook up with some Bronco enthusiasts. I am in Utah Co.
Revenant 09-05-2008, 12:48 PM It's looking like we do have a small group after all. Any is free to lead off and organize something before I do, but I'll start looking ahead for an open weekend. I'll let everyone know with a weeks notice minimum.
Gary, I assume you trailer yours to the trail?
Nate, Anything you need help doing?

ya I have to trailer
Canoeboy146 09-08-2008, 02:43 PM I am a newbie to 4x4 and my rig is a stone stock 1990 XLT. I would love to come to a Bronco rally of some sort (even if it is small), but I would hate to hold the group back if you plan some hardcore wheelin. If the rally will be for more for the hardcore style I will understand. I will try to stop by and meet everyone. That said, I would love to do some wheelin that is within the capabilities of a stock rig with TTB. I will watch this forum for plans and try to attend. It would be nice to have someone to talk Broncos with. All of my friends, family and co-workers just give me a blank stare when I bring the subject up.
godless 09-09-2008, 03:57 PM There is also:
Burl Swift (Garth) from West Valley
Rajncajn (Chris) from Rose Park
Myself aka godless aka Beerman aka Jeremie from Draper
We are all Broncoless but we are still around.
Rick3373 09-09-2008, 09:09 PM I'm here also. But I'm not particularly interested in a meet & greet unless it happens in Moab and someone else does everything to make it happen. Even then I may not attend. I'm too busy to have much to do with others.
Midnyte 09-11-2008, 06:09 AM I'm down here in good ol St. George :beer
dan76 09-12-2008, 04:06 PM I'm in the SLC area.
I'm willing to set up a meet/greet in the SLC area though the Bronco is currently undergoing renovation.....just need some input.
Weekend vs. week night
Trail outing vs. parking lot meet
There a couple of monthly cruise nights at burger stands in the local area but the season is drawing to a close. The one I attend will have the last cruise in Oct.
Post your thoughts and let's try to meet prior to the snow.
Midnyte 09-12-2008, 08:02 PM Cruising season lasts year round for me =)
I'd love to be able to make it up north to a GTG sometime tho.
gary78bronco 09-17-2008, 02:25 PM Anyone have any other ideas? I'm down for whatever.
denhabr 10-07-2008, 06:24 PM Hello.
Name is Brad. Here in Sandy, Utah. Planning a '94-'96 Prerunner/Chase Truck...but starting out slow.
Still looking for the perfect donor/project vehicle here along the Wasatch Front...lotsa' vehicles for sale on ksl.com...
Will be having Josh Smario (formerly HoleShotOffroad.com) & friends based here in Sandy, Utah to do the work. Josh and his staff at HoleShot built a nice 2WD Ranger prerunner which appeared in the September issue of Off-Road magazine.
http://www.off-roadweb.com/features/...cab/index.html
Attended the ORE in Pomona this last weekend, but I cannot upload any of the 144 photos I took! Anyone know a reason why?
Thanks.
Welcome suggestions...5.0L or 5.8L? E4OD or 5-speed?

I love to hear of someone local starting a project such as this!
I can't recommend either motor of trans over the other, but recommend starting a build thread in the BroncoSpeed (http://www.fullsizebronco.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=52) forum, even if you don't have the truck, and ask there.
Let me know if I can help you with anything. We're set up as a dealer for most everything, but it sounds as if you may have all the connections you need.
I can't wait to see you get a truck and start. :beer
Justin's bronco 10-14-2008, 11:17 PM im down here in st george too. I would prob attend a greet if it was close, but i cant really afford to travel far at this time.
petlover07 10-14-2008, 11:45 PM Anybody in Utah go to school at Eskdale or know anything about it? I went to high school there.
Sorry for the thread highjack.

Is Eskdale a town? I, personally, haven't heard of it. What part of Utah is it in? What's it's near?

I'd attend a meet. My truck, like most of ours it seems, isn't 100% trail ready yet. My opinion is that a meet would probably only get a couple people out so we may want to wait for '09. Hopefully we'll all get our rigs together by then.
petlover07 10-15-2008, 09:05 PM Is Eskdale a town? I, personally, haven't heard of it. What part of Utah is it in? What's it's near?
It's a small community right near the border of Nevada. The closest town is Baker Nevada (about 6 miles away). Which is where Great Basin National Park is.

I'll throw out this as a potential for those who care to meet.
The Burger Stop on Gentile St in Layton is holding their last cruise of 08 on Oct 22. Some folks start arriving mid afternoon but most arrive after work. All types of cars/trucks meet here monthly, so Bronco's fit right in though I've seen very few FSB at this event.
If you drive your Bronco, I propose we meet in the parking lot across the street where the spillover occurs. I'll buy the first FSB member I meet a burger. :thumbup
Midnyte 10-16-2008, 02:05 PM Hey Justin's Bronco, what's your bronco look like? I've seen a few drivin' around...
If you SLC guys were to go directly south 2 hours to Fillmore (My home town =) and than head straight west past Delta you'd find Eskdale. Now that's probably not the best way to get there but it should give you an idea where it's at.
Man I wish I could make it up north more often...
Revenant 10-16-2008, 02:42 PM Man I wish I could make it up north more often...
Let us know (and PM me) the next time you do make it up this way. If you have the time, we'll try to make a meet out of it.

I have a black 92 thats cab swapped with a flatbed. It has a HUGE shackle hangin off the front bumper. What part of town are you in? im usually up by sunset or in santaclara.
amtarsha 10-20-2008, 12:27 AM My brother (atarsha) is in Ogden. He doesn't browse the forums much. I am military stationed in Oklahoma, but am moving to Utah in a little over a year. atarsha and myself (amtarsha[not to be confused]) may be able to come out if I get enough notice to plan some leave. Could use a good snowboarding vacation here soon anyways :)

Hmm, I don't think I've seen it. I live over between River Rd. and the freeway, kinda back behind Applebees.
Justin's bronco 10-29-2008, 03:31 PM Yea i dont make it to that side of town much, i work and live up here so the only time i go over there is if im goin out. I dont drive it much either, i mostly drive my 77 supercab. But if you do see me in it sometime stop and say hi
The Bucking Bronco 10-30-2008, 01:20 AM Long time no post
I dont think I can get away calling mine a bronco anymore. though it does have a c6 and a 205 from a bronco
Oh and Revenant your truck looks Freeking AWSOME
Here is my finished product

Holy freaking crap man! That turned out amazing. The army star having its edges cut to meet the panels gives it a look I can only approve of. The whole rig looks very 'not hack-job'. Well done. :rockon
I've been informed Herzog had some 'influence', now I see ;)
Midnyte 10-30-2008, 10:08 PM Dang that does look amazing... nice job.
Herzog? I served with a Herzog...
Revenant 10-31-2008, 02:34 PM Herzog? I served with a Herzog...
Shane Herzog of RockyMountainExtreme.com, lives in Price or near there. I don't know if he's young enough to have had his time coincide with yours' or not. :shrug
Midnyte 10-31-2008, 07:45 PM Is he originally from northern UT? Seems like alot of the Herzog's were like from Ogden area.
Revenant 11-04-2008, 07:42 PM I'll have to ask him when I see him next.
leslord 11-14-2008, 11:16 PM I live in Bountiful, and work in SLC. I'd like to do some wheelin' when spring comes. Maybe American Fork Canyon, Five Mile Pass, or Providence Canyon. I am ussually the only FSB in any group I go with. Mostly Jeeps.
The Bucking Bronco 11-14-2008, 11:39 PM why are you waiting for spring I am headed out to little moab tomorrow (Its out by five mile sorda)
Always room for more

I'd like to go. Not enough time right now. Have to work weekends. And the Bronco needs some work. I've been there once in our stock Cherokee. Not much I could do in the stock Jeep.
souljhz 01-20-2009, 11:46 PM I will bring one of my two broncos ones stock with some red neck mods and the other well the other is a monster I just bought but I am in slc I would love to meet some others who own " Jeep recovery units"
toms 302 01-27-2009, 11:46 PM I'm living in Vernal but if it's on a weekend I can make it out your way.
souljhz 01-29-2009, 01:33 PM Lets have a meet first then some wheeling or maybe go down to 5 mile and have some fun in the mud and snow even stock rigs can handle 5 mile it would be a great meet greet and get dirty event and I got a bronco for sale for those that dont have one :smilie_slap lets get this thing rollin the other reason I think 5 mile is cool is its central sorta to slc and utah county. Lets get these JEEP RECOVERY UNITS on the road

I was just there, see the trip reports. It'd be cool. I think myself and my co-worker UTIBronco would probably show if our schedules permitted it.
Midnyte 01-29-2009, 03:14 PM I'll be back in Fillmore for the summer... hopefully I'll be able to head up there during then and we can all do something.
Revenant 01-29-2009, 03:24 PM I'll be back in Fillmore for the summer... hopefully I'll be able to head up there during then and we can all do something.
Definitely.
Midnyte 01-29-2009, 03:49 PM Maybe I'll even be 4 wheel drive by then
Revenant 01-29-2009, 04:19 PM Maybe I'll even be 4 wheel drive by then
Me too! (I need to re-gear the front, the back's been done, so I'm mismatched.)
souljhz 01-31-2009, 02:22 PM so whats the plan we gonna have a meet and greet and some wheelin or just a meet and greet? lets get this done
toms 302 02-02-2009, 02:16 AM Still here???? Gonna start my SAS soon so let me know when.
Midnyte 02-16-2009, 04:27 AM Well good news... I picked up a freshly rebuilt C6 and NP208 combo today from a guy in Provo :toothless
So all I need is a rear shaft, x-member, TTB yoke, and a front re-gear (same boat as you Rev, except I only had one axle to regear at the time, haha).
USMCMP 02-19-2009, 02:56 AM I'm in Riverside about 15 miles from the Idaho border for now. If I'm still around when this goes down I'd love to see some more Broncos then the two around here. If anyone is close give me a shout and I can show one of the best places around here. It's not much for wheeling but it would be a good place to get together and have some fun.
Revenant, I'm digging the F-150. :rockon

I live in Bountiful.
CoolGuy31 09-28-2009, 04:23 AM Thread from the Dead FTW!
I'm bringing this back to life because I want to see if there are any more members here, especially around me. The closest I can see is d-selpowered and he's still about 40-50 miles away. So if anybody is way up North, post up. I'm in Riverside, about 30 minutes from Brigham City and Logan.
livetobowhunt 09-29-2009, 06:18 PM Anyone out in the basin? anyone in this state goin wheelin soon?
Gunnar Child 09-29-2009, 06:25 PM i live in Roy kinda by ogden
livetobowhunt 10-02-2009, 06:30 PM So when are we goin to do somethin in UT?! I sick of wheelin with only a buddys jeep!! Beats wheelin alone but damn:banghead
d-selpowereddiebauer 10-28-2009, 07:22 PM Hey, I'm here...Bronco is down till spring, but I'll wheel the shit out of the F-250! Any takers?:rockon
SavageCity 11-04-2009, 12:46 AM im here if anyone wants to go mild wheeling
d-selpowereddiebauer 11-04-2009, 10:11 PM The 250 got some new 33" Terra Grapps today. :rockon Hopin to do ball-joints n tie rods tomorrow so I can get her re-registered. I'm pretty much stock with a leveling kit, but I ain't scared. :toothless Might be interested on like Sunday or sometime next week, weather permitting, anyways. Where do ya have in mind, man?
d-selpowereddiebauer 11-08-2009, 08:42 PM Well, guess that died...:enforce
Hey, new here, I am down for meet and mud anytime! Mine stock for now but I love to get it muddy! Went out in the mud earlier this evening. Snow is coming, should make for some interesting trails! Lets get it planned.
d-selpowereddiebauer 11-11-2009, 05:01 PM This thread cracks me up...is there really anyone in this state? :shrug
Burl Swift 11-11-2009, 05:04 PM I used to be...guess its time to change my location.
Beerman (godless), rajncajn, 351Bronco, and myself were pretty active about 5 years ago, we all spent a lot of time wrenching on the weekends, generally at my house.
But none of us have Bronco's anymore, all of us started families, and I've moved out of state.
gary78bronco 11-11-2009, 05:04 PM I'm on here alot, But I do mostly 4+ trails.
Burl Swift 11-11-2009, 05:07 PM I'm on here alot, But I do mostly 4+ trails.
Are there even any 4+ trails left in Utah, outside of Moab?
Little Moab, and the hard trails I can think of at 5 Mile are barely 3+'s, aren't they?
gary78bronco 11-11-2009, 05:29 PM I mostly go to moab, its barely street legal so i don't drive it much. Not a big fan of little moab, goe there once or twice and you have about seen it all. Just a good trial run place, imo.
actually I have never been to 5 mile. but they have the snakes and contrictor(sp) out there that have some pretty good hill. you can youtube eaglenest or wayneworld and see them.
d-selpowereddiebauer 11-11-2009, 05:37 PM hmmmmm...
Burl Swift 11-11-2009, 05:53 PM you can youtube eaglenest or wayneworld and see them.
No need...I've been to them. :)
Rattlesnake is doable in a stock bronco with cut fenders and one locker, Constrictor...not so much. Many need to winch up that wall, at least they did when I was last there.
d-selpowereddiebauer 11-12-2009, 06:09 AM Well, bock bock...does anyone actually wanna go, or is this thread just to talk about going?:goodfinge
Hell yeah I wanna go! I just got this Bronco and want to use it! I just joined this forum as well, so I will be on here often. IMO the best way to get these going is to talk on the phone or text rather than on the board, just sayin. I am co-owner of another local forum, and we get all of the ideas on the board, but when it comes to actually meeting up, nothing beats a text.:beer
How about a meet and greet, maybe a lunch get together on a Saturday in December?
Midnyte 11-18-2009, 12:15 PM I'd goto a meet and greet if I wasn't way down here in St. George.
gary78bronco 11-18-2009, 02:13 PM No need...I've been to them. :)

d-selpowereddiebauer 11-20-2009, 04:47 AM I missed all this...I was temporarally banned...lol... :goodfinge :haha
Seriuosly? What did you do?
d-selpowereddiebauer 11-20-2009, 02:50 PM Still don't know... :scratchhe :shrug
That is kinda messed up. Oh wait better shut up or I might suspended too!:histerica
d-selpowereddiebauer 11-20-2009, 02:54 PM Indeed...you only got 10 posts, player... :goodfinge :haha
LOL, I know, can't push it yet!:smilie_slap
