For smaller stuff I go online to UPS (https://wwwapps.ups.com/ctc/request), & fill out the info to get a "Quick Time & Cost (Package)" quote. If it ships to a commercial address, it's usually a little cheaper, so I always have stuff shipped to work. It'll give you a results page with the various costs for next day, 2nd day, ground, etc. You'll need to know zip codes & packaged weight. There are size & weight limits too.

For odd sized parts I have used Greyhound package express, but I have a station close by.
