I don't know that this is the right place to post this but does anyone know of a good place to get my front shock mount rewelded? I am pretty new to the area and live in Aurora and work in the Tech center.

Sorry I went brain damaged, do you need the part that bolts to the back of the radius arm or do you have a dual shock setup and need the part on the front of the radius arm? My bronco is out in the parking lot and I just can't think of what you need welded. If it is the front peice on the front side of the spring I might be able to pull mine off, as I only use the shock on the back side of the spring. Geeze I can visualise it but I cannot describe it.

It is the bolt shaped piece that goes through the lower eye on the front (quad shock). It has broken away from where it is factory welded to the front of the TTB.

I am going to do a search as I have seen a picture of it on here somewhere.

In Keith's picture it is broken too. You just can't quite see where it attaches.

Yes to put a picture up you have to put it somewhere else like superford and link to it...

I went out and looked at my Bronco, this is the peice that is held on the top and bottom by the BAB (big ass bolts) that connect the radius arm to the TTB beam, and has two about 12mm bolts through the front to the TTB beam. I am not using mine but it would be a total pita to pull them off. The bitch is I threw away two sets of them along with a huge pile of other parts before christmas to make room in my storage unit.

By the way you can just run the two back shocks untill you get the piece replaced or welded. Most of us just run the two back shocks.

Man this post has been up for an hour and Keith has not suggested that he do a leaf sprung SAS yet. He must be slipping.

WD40. That's exactly it. I am thinking of a more permanent repair than the one shown. I have been reading the posts and have seen that guys run with only the 2 rear (front) shocks but am not quite sure which way to go.

Leaf spring SAS no way!!!.

I have owned too many Land Rovers and know the only way to go is all coils.

I miss my Defender 110 and Range Rover that I had in NZ
