Edit-- the court did not rule on the merits of the case at hand. They only ruled that a private entity could not bring the suit and then dismissed it. I'm guessing we have not heard the end of this though.

I can't think of anything to say, I am speechless at the stupidity of that being overturned. That is just so ****ing dumb, on so many levels. What is wrong about making sure people are eligible to vote? Seems like common sense to me.

After some further reading, it looks like this was overturned on a technicality...

In an unsigned order, the high court ruled that it could not say whether Ohio was properly enforcing the Help America Vote Act. However, it said the Ohio GOP doesn't have the standing to file the suit.

The difference between him and me is, I'd feel like a piece of shit if my person won because of hundreds of thousands of fraudulent votes. It would really make me rethink my political affiliation if I knew they won because of that - whereas BB is happy that it's happening, and fully supports it. I'm not surprised by it at all, in fact my thoughts on the moral integrity of the Democrat party have been proven and solidified in one fell swoop. So in a way I'm relieved.

First we have this ACORN crap, then we have the Dem who took Mark Foley's seat having an extramarital affair, and you don't hear a damn peep from the MSM. What gives? Oh, I forgot, election day cometh.

Attempts at fraudulent registrations, does not equal fraudulent votes. I suppose, once again, that Obama is up so far in the polls because of these registrations? :doh0715: Obama is winning, because he's winning. That said, voter fraud should not be tolerated. This, is not voter fraud.

I'm honestly trying to decide whether or not to put him on my ignore list, something I've only done to a person here once - a long time ago.

He's really gotten on my nerves a lot, but it's always been in the way a small child who's begging for attention does; this thread, however, smacks of something more serious, and I want him to explain in his own words what it is about this decision that he feels is worthy of expressing such glee.

I haven't read the decision, but I am assuming that a simple ruling on a lack of standing isn't enough to inspire such gloating in any thinking person, so I would like to know exactly what has.

Anyone remember 2000? 2004? 2006? Go look back at the headlines of those elections, and tell me if you see a reoccuring pattern, one that led to thousand upon thousands of valid registered voters being forced to cast provisional ballots that didn't "have" to be counted.... Every time a Republican is down in the polls, you hear cries of voter fraud, leading to attempted voter supression. Its like clockwork.

I support the Supreme Court decision on with no dissent, as I'm sure you supported the one in the 2000 election. Unless you feel the conservative members of the court are in the tank for Barack like the media, conservative columnists, Colin Powell...etc.
