i know a place off shindler and hipps rd. on the westside of jax. it not too bad and has some pretty nasty holes including one we call the jeep eater that i have yet to see a 4x4 make it through yet. theres another spot just off morse rd. just before the bridge that is awesome but its always gated up. if anyone knows of any other spots in jax that doesnt involve a hour long drive. just repost or add a thread or do whatever the heck needs to be done to find some more places to get muddy at. :thumbup

When was the last time you were out to shindler? Morse Road has been closed for a while, and you'll get a nasty ticket if the cops catch you out there. There really isn't any legal mudding in the area, unless you know someone with some property that they'll let you on. Otherwise, the best nearest place is Hogwaller down in Palatka, it may be an hr drive, but no risk of getting a ticket and they have concession stands and bathrooms.

I have heard that the place you are referring to at Hipps and Taylor Field will also get you a ticket or arrested if caught. I have talked to a guy who knows the owner of the land in ??? and he said the guy trys to get people arrested for trespassing.

I don't think Fernandina let's vehicles on the beach anymore, Hugenot Park off if Heckscher still does and I'm pretty sure there is still one of the beaches down in St. Augustine that does.

Half of StAugustine Beach and all of Crescent Beach are still open to vehicles.

I believe you can still go out in Nassau Sound beach area around the sound. i used to go up there to fish. That would be a good gathering option..... go out to nassau sound around 1 or 2am and do some gigging.(flounder)

:rebelflagdamn that sucks,i moved from jax to n.c. back in 97,there were still places to go then. i really hate that,we used to go out normandy across from herlong airport, but there are houses there now.ellis and lakeshore at the old raceway, now some sort of apartment complex, what we used to call the jettys, now hughnot park, hellfire,i remember blasting dunes, riding trails, and drag races on the beach...... well sorry guys i wish i could help but everywhere we used to go are gone,i still have lots of family in the area,i will ask around,if i hear anything i will post it
