What are your guys' opinions on these? Do you think there too loud, or have a bad tone. Or do you like them and what do you like about them? Thanks :thumbup

Most people don't like them, but I actually do. I had a fat single 3" x 36-38"L on an older dodge with a 360, sounded awesome... nice quiet rumble, and still not too loud on the highway. I had a pair of 2 1/2" x about 30" on my old Dart with a 318... almost sounded like a big block

i have them with straight duals. nice crackle at higher RPMS and a smooth tone at lower. not to obnoxious. never had a cop pull me over for them.

got one on the 87 its a 2 1/2 x 18 sounds real good low rumble at idle and speed deep grumble under wot

I've got a pair on an f150. 302, true duals, 2" pipe with 12" cherry bombs. It can be heard a little over a mile away. When i let off the gas to shift (it's a M50d) it pops and sounds like it's backfiring.... It's not my daily driver, but it fills my need for an obnoxious redneck truck :thumbup

I pretty much hate Cherry Bombs in my old age. Anymore I like a nice, fairly quiet turbo... and I still have Cherry Bombs on my truck, but that will change soon. They've been there since I bought it about 5 years ago.

Years ago when I was working with a local race team the track required a muffler. We used Cherry Bombs. Of course, we burned all the packing out first so they basically became a straight pipe :D

love the price, love the sound, wish i went with em after the 460 swap.

i had powertones (like bomb ) but a lil more $$ sounded good i like them now i have super turbo mufflers (forget who makes) and they're allright for noise and a lil rumble

i got pulled over when i had the powertones though :D

I am gonna switch over from Duramax to the Cherry Bomb, thats what I had on my '84 and it was so sweet sounding.....Will let you know how it sounds...

It sounded real deep, mellow at idle but open her up and your ears would be a ringin! I wish my new (all the way back) exhause sounded like that

we did this on a 2 wheel drive chebbie Headers then flow tech red hots(try tightening up the collects under the trruck while its running and backfiring cuz plug not fully tightened :toothless ) yeah THAT was dumb :twak = myself

he dropped me off at home one day and puched it, was pretty loud and echo'd for a while :toothless

High-tech redneck.... I drilled my cherry bomb out and welded in an O2 sensor bung when I had them bolted right to the headers

I had glass packs on the 429 and hated it, I thought it sounded like total ass. It sounded exactly like the raggedy ass truck it is.

I like the Delta Flows SO much better, its nice and throaty and you can hear the lope at idle. MUCH better than redneck cherry bombs.

hey, just got my old 83 back, having a few problems on fludding out, took to the shop and they couldnt figure it out, need some feed back. The fludding caused the gas to sit in the muffler, made a nice big back fire and blew them up:banghead :duh . just bought 2 2"x25 cherry bombs, hopen it'll sound sweet:rockon

i have one sitting in my shop i took off my truck, it was on the truck 3 months, i cut the second cat off thats why its off now. if you want it, i could find a way to ship it

would a 3" have a deeper sound than a 2.5"?

However, with the cat in place, it wasnt as loud or as deep as I expected. Hell, it sounded like a generic "turbo muffler". No complaints, but if you want it to sound like a cherry bomb, you gotta take off the cat. If you want it to sound louder and better, you gotta go with Flowmaster. Either way, with the cat on, it will almost be a wast of time and money, if a distinct sound is what your after. HTH.
