Its on the stock 351W intake manifold. Located right under where the throttle cable hooks to the carb, its a vac operated valve that goes down into the intake, its stuck in one position and won't move. Its not hooked up to vac, but I need it out of the way for my new carb. Its atteched thru 2 of the intake manifolds bolts. What the hell is it and how do I get rid of it?

Its a vacume pump. it was in the way on mine to take out the 2 bolts make you a plate and put the plate in it's place. I made my plate out of aluminum or you can ordere one from edelbrock.

if it bolts to a spacer plate between the carb and intake, and has one tube that hooks to it.
then its not a "vacume pump" its a EGR valve, it helps emissions and mileage.

Not the EGR Valve/Plate, I already pulled that crap off. I dont see how that could HELP your gas milage. I have no idea what the heck this thing was, maybe it was a vac pump, either way, I beat the shit out of it until it finally came off, and I'm making a plate for it tomorrow.
