Hmmm, I was just thinking and that is usually a pretty dangerous thing for me to do. All of us "north" people should get together at that Church Ranch place, I think that they have a Dave & Busters up there at 104/Church Ranch road next to the theaters.

MYXD40
12-31-2008, 02:37 AM
What if we did a lil get together off 36 and 104th? At like rock bottom, or bar loui? Theres a few other resturant bars up that way.. And I'd be willing to drive that far. I filled up the Titan the other day, 18 gallons for $24 bucks..CHEAP!

But depending on weather/time of day, I may meet up but driving the Titan considering the Distance. Unless I REALLY hit it off with this gorgeous girl..she likes working on trucks and loves Broncos..sooooooo if I break down at least I'll have a helper with me LOL

well bar loui is a resturant. Mostly booths that surround the outside of the place, with a bar in the middle, and TVs EVERYWHERE.. and they have AWESOME food. But yes, its a resturant/bar.. if you never been to rock bottom, thats next door. That's mostly resturant, then the other 1/4 part is a bar with TVs and booths to sit in, and pool tables.

CB&Potts is gooood and thats half resturant, half bar. Bar also features many TVs and big booths that seat like 6 people with pool tables. That place is off 120th and Huron across from the glass castle avaya

WOW, I found my next job....on this pageant Hooters thing....backstage this CHICK has the job of taking some spray can that is a "sticky spray" and she takes the chicks bikini ass bottoms and pulls them out and sprays a little so that the bottom does not ride up there ass. Way cool job. I want that.

I wonder if they want a little tush massage at the same time I give them the spray, kinda a 2fer1.

Another reason I would not take my bronco to D&B...that's kinda kiddy ville and would not trust people leaving the bronco (with soft top) out in the parking lot for hours. People will break in, steal anything out of vehicles these days. Not that there is much to look at or steal inside, but I don't need the headache.

Eagle rock? Never heard of it..

However I have a buddy who has a 79 ford pickup.. BEAST of a truck! And he loves offroading. We're actually setting up a offroad/camping trip for 5 days this summer.. maybe we can set something up.

But I'll also try to get him to tag along for a meet and offroading trip. When it comes to ford motors..he knows them inside and out!

That would be useful, Eagle rock is on the south side of the springs, I have heard that it is pretty tough and most people around here have good things to say about it.

Hmmm well I'd need an easy course, because my bronco is BONE stock..and I don't want to beat it up..I mean to an extent I want to offroad, but I'm not going through 3feet of muddy water by any means!!

Yeah he's an awesome guy! Very simple too. Works on his ford truck. Actually last I talked to him he was installing a 60 gallon external fuel tank he made himself. So simple, he doesn't have a computer or cellphone. One of the most down to earth guy I know. I'll ask him tomorrow. Think I'm going up that way to drop off a tool box.

Nice thing about CO..we have PLENTY of areas to offroad at! :D

Where were you this summer we had 2 or 3 good runs. Hope gas stays reasonable not $4 and we can do more this year. Hell if I could have filled my truck for less than $50 I would have been out every weekend.

A little far for us to bring our two Broncos. My wife hates driving on I-25 traffic at any time. If it were farther north say Greeley, Fort Collins, or Cheyenne, then we'd be there. I live up east of Nunn, CO so it's a drive. Great idea having informal get-togethers though! I'd love to see some ideas on some rigs, like bumpers, lifts, tires etc. We have two stock trucks that I'm itchin' to do something with.

You guys are pathetic. "Day trip to to blackhawk" and it was offroad..I mean, a dirt trail. You all came up with the word "hardcore".

So shove it, move on, and let it go.

But yes, with no snow, at least one more truck there to pull if needed, I'm more than willing to get a little dirty

Sorry i missed it but its kinda a long drive from here for dinner. Why do we always have to wait till spring to go wheeling. Snow just makes the easy trails more fun and the "hardcore" trails damn near impossible. I drove my 78 out of the back yard today so i could start wrenching on it before spring. It was burried in 3 ft of snow (no not a 3 ft drift) for about 100 ft before it got to the plowed drive. Drove it out under its own power with a broken drivers side u joint and stub shaft. No shovel or winching. I love my bronco. Yeah the 78 is down for a while but the 93 is ready to go for a run if anybody is interested.

I am pretty laid back but do have my redneck side I will help anybody but have very strong feelings about firearms and how they should be handled. But at any rate I dont know you and thats as far as I will go with this on a public forum. I'm not really threatening so much as sayin if u get out on a trail with me leave the attitude and the thug style carrying techniques at home.
As a note one of my biggest problems is his posting of things about how people should watch how they talk to him considering he carries a firearm. i am not antigun hell I own plenty i am just prosafety as well as being very much in favor of not having the fact that he constantlly carries a gun being thrown up in peoples faces.

Just to make you happy, I'll leave the holster at home, and carry it between my belt and jeans, the comfortable way for me. Just for you..You know..thug style :histerica

And again, if I showed off my gun, and pointed it, lifted up my shirt, I wouldn't have my permit, and I doubt I'd still be a free man. And I HIGHLY doubt any police department would even consider me for employement. So let it go. You're not my mom pus.

Uhh you're not a very bright kid I can tell. Please, explain to me fully how I carry my firearm is unsafe? There no bullet in the chamber..so if you pull the trigger, well you should know the answer. But I agree, when in my Level II holster, it's cocked and loaded. My XD doesn't have a manual thumb saftey. So yes, I do take caution with my firearms. Just, let it go.

I consider myself a nice guy, laid back, and fun guy to hang out with. You calling me a thug for how I carry my firearm just flat out makes you look stupid. If I wear my ball cap backwords and to the side a bit, does that make me a thug too? Really think about what you say before you say it.

But honestly dude, I have NOTHING against you. Other than your pathetic add ons to the other fools on this forum who turn something into something that it is not. To be honest with you, first meeting you, I would shake your hand and introduce myself and not say a damn thing. If you can't simply do the same, well it just goes to show what kind of man (or lack there of) you are.

So how many years is it? You haven't been carrying legally for more than like 26 months

Uhh you're not a very bright kid I can tell. Please, explain to me fully how I carry my firearm is unsafe? There no bullet in the chamber..so if you pull the trigger, well you should know the answer.

There are 3 basic rules of safe firearms handleing.
1)The firearm is ALWAYS loaded
2)Never point toward something you are not willing to destroy
3)Never put your finger on the trigger until you are pointing at something you are willing to destroy.

The rest is common sense. Like not playing with your guns while drinking and partying. When carrying locked and loaded having it secure on your person. (in your belt is NOT secure) and so on and so on.

Judging by what you've stated in this and other threads and some of the pics that have been posted you are indeed unsafe with your handgun.

I do have a lot of nerve. And what respect? Open your eyes and get some respect for other people then your boy toys. Calling me a thug isn't repsect. And for you, I could care less how I talk to him, or you. I wont ever be the one to start shit with you or him, or anyone else. But by all means, someone says something that rubs me the wrong way, I wont back down by any means. So quit trying to act like you know what you're talking about, defending someone who isn't going to do anything, and mind your own business.

I will be more than happy to end up on that road. And I'm not going to be on that road if he can learn to just let it go. Simple enough. And you should do the same, LET IT GO. :thumbup

26 months..wow you're good. Wonder how you came up with that number :toothless

Who said I was playing with my gun while drinking and partying? Indeed a picture says 1000 words..however, were you there? Do you know the story behind the picture, and the situation? But let me spill it out for you, because clearly this has become a dumb argument and you guys are..what 4-5 in numbers, agasint one? (And I'm still here ;) ) ..I do go to parties. Leave my firearm in the truck, and yes, mag located in a different location from the gun, and I'll drink and party and crash at whatever hosue I'm at. Now if I don't want to drink because I need to drive (can't have a DUI on my record!) then what I do is grab an empty beer bottle, fill it with water, and that way for people like YOU, I can look like I'm drinking, not be hammerd with dumb drunks saying, "dude have another beer! Come on, one beer wont hurt you!". I hope you're all smart enough to understand that a guy with a beer bottle full of water will get less stupid hassle from other people. I'm a guy who doesn't like to fight either fist to fist, words to words, or reason to reason.

And lastly, how I carry it is safe enough for me. It has never fallen. It always stays where it's at. I havn't had any problem with it. Why should you? Oh thats right.. Iguess if theres a bullet in the mag (not the chamber) and it drops, BANG! :histerica

So what you're saying is you're a weak minded individual who simply can't say "no" to the drunks you're hanging out with? Good job. Why can't you just say you are driving, and don't need to drink? You must have missed a lesson back in middle school about peer pressure and being able to say "no."

Besides all that, I really doubt you were just drinking water. That is just a lame excuse to make your pathetic dumb ass self look better.

Also, Mr. Hundgun saftey guy, you shouldn't have your weapon out and visible when you are in that situation anyway (other people drinking, and drunks around.) Thats just calling for trouble, any way you look at it. You probably let those drunks "check it out" too.

Safe enough for you, but probably not safe enough for the people around you.

On a serious note, you should really consider taking a firearms course. They are very interesting and you'll learn a lot about all aspects of ownership and use. The NRA website is a great source for where and when to find one and you don't have to be a member.

Point blank. I am done with this. If I am putting together a trail run do me a favor and just dont show up I am not interested in the altercation that is bound to occur and try to remove myself from situations where they are likely these days.
It's not a matter of bein scred about how u carry your gun either it's a matter of it being an unsafe carrying technique.
I wouldn't invite him just because he's a dick hole.

I consider myself a nice guy, laid back, and fun guy to hang out with. You calling me a thug for how I carry my firearm just flat out makes you look stupid.

He may look stupid in your eyes, but to everyone else, you're the stupid one.

Yea, Gilmer was an awesome trip and everybody who went is fixin' their shit up to go on a mega run March 20th. I can't imagine that Texas wheeling can compete with the beautiful CO area, but you guys are always welcome here(except the ones that lie and can't handle a firearm):rockon
Not goin to make it that soon but one of these times man. Beside what yall dont have in scenery you make up for with shiner.

Cool m@ng, I was in the Corps my last 3 years of school. What service branch are you going for? PM me with questions. Like Joe says there are a couple of members down here. I've found the offroading to be pretty good for me. Soggy Bottoms Offroad Ranch has all the mud I could want and Brazos Valley Offroad Ranch has more trails and dirt hill climbs stuff. Both places are a couple minutes away and anything goes:beer. Gilmer is about 4 hours away.

I am going for army. I am thinking of majoring in international studies. I'll see how I like A&M before I commit. My mom and dad both went there so I've been down there a couple times.

Army is good, let me know what outfit you are considering before you commit. I was Navy/Marine side in company C-2. A&M itself is pretty cool and you get certain amount of pride about it. Getting a contract with the Corps is a great alternative to a military academy because you graduate an officer but you went to a university with civilians and not a bunch of tools.

I didn't turn down westpoint yet. I haven't gotten in there yet but I believe I will. If they want me to play football for them I will go there but if not I will go to Tamu

I have done everything, my application is pending

True, but you can find a couple cool people in the other 45,000 students. Plus you can date a girl, not an officer that is doing the same nasty training you are.:usa

Good, you can't really go wrong either way. Admissions and college itself has gotten so much more competitive recently that I probably couldn't get in to A&M now, Good luck.
