I just replaced the auto/OD tranny in my 1990 Bronco with a C6 out of a 1988 Bronco. I am still using the 1356 BW transfer case. My questions are:
1. The C6 has a round connector with 6 pins and my wiring harness has two multi-pin rect. connectors. Which wires(color or other ID) do I use to connect into the C6?
2. I am using the shift linkage from the 1988 except the bracket that bolts to the tranny(this is missing). Can I use the AOD bracket and put in a spacer or do I need the bracket from the C6?
Thanks a bunch in advance!!

sorry, i cannot get the wires you want to hook up the C6, i just thought i might add that you are going to swap computers, your current computer is not going to be happy with not having the electric tranny, you can get a computer that was ment to go with a manual, probably from a F-250, or you could get a EEC from 88-89 with a C6 but im not shure what minor mods have to be done due to pin changes (i think its a durect swap, but dont hold me to it) just my 2cents.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I'm installing a 1990 MAF EFI HO 5.0 with an 86 F-250 C-6 behind it into my 1990 Jeep Wrangler. I don't have the donor vehicles for either the engine or transmission, so I'm trying to figure out the wiring, blind. I have the Proust book for the EFI (and available, a couple of other Jeeps with the 5.0 in them), but I still need to find out what those six wires from the tranmission do. Anybody?

Well, my C-6 has zero wires connected to it. So I'm guessing that you're out in left field somewhere. The only electrical connection that even comes close to my tranny is the neutral safety switch.
You will most definitely need a new computer tha is from a non E4OD vehicle.

right, you "don't need" any wires to make the C6 work
however there are 4 wires for the neutral safety switch and back up lights
this should be your E4OD connectors
http://fordfuelinjection.com/images/Trans_harness.gif
P/O is power for the back up lights
BK/PK is the back up lights
W/PK is IN from ignition key
R/LB is OUT to starter relay
I also agree you should get a non-E4OD computer, it will plug into the same harness, just won't get upset from the now disconnected tranny

Thanks for the help. I dug thru the Hanes book last Friday and figured out which wires need conected together between the E4OD and C6. However, I didn't change the computer and the bronco runs great.
What problems will occur if I retain the E4OD computer?

lack of full potential power. computer will retard the power output of the engine to save a potential failing transmission.
