Not really, we have FSB. There are offroad clubs such as co4x4.org.

This is a club. Come here for the tech, watch for posts on the next 4WD events if you are interested in that. there is actually a meet and greet trying to be scheduled this month, around the 16th I believe.

I agree... Not much of a need to start something else when this is a GIANT community, and this way FSB owners out of state, or those looking to move to CO can see what we are up to without having to join some other club. No other dues, etc. to pay or deal with. I guess the only other thing would be nice for it to be state specific other than just the mountain states group, but not a big deal either way.

Although this is optional, spending for the annual fee of $20 to be a Fullsize Bronco Member is well worth it, even if you just go and look at the NWS Hottie Thread!!!:hump

Yea, that's why I said no other dues... I'm a proud paying member here, but I guess you can join here free and see what all were up to as well, forgot about that.

RMFTC is a great place. Been there for a long time now.

Another group, if you're looking to get up and go wheeling, camping, and so forth is my good friend Will's group, WR Off Road, a branch of the well known Wolf Racing out of Las Vegas as well as here. Check em at www.wroffroad.com

Did you recently pay the 20 bucks? Because you aren't a paying FSB member.

But yeah, i'm over on RMFTC.com as well. It is a decent site for scheduling some meet and greets and meeting local people. But anything tech, its pretty much worthless. But I don't think that is the point of rmftc

with the size of the group you have to ask the tech questions.
RMFTC is by far the best local specific group but we seem to do a lot of runs with fsb and vice versa

FWIW, there used to be a chapter of the 2 Big Broncos club from Washington here, but it fell apart about 5 or 6 years ago due to apathy and lack of time. There are a few old members on FSB yet.

I agree RMFTC has had a lot of crossover with FSB (go figure). But the folks over at co4x4.org have been great (at least the ones I have met) I am usally the only non-heep or was on an EB trip once and they are allways suprised at what a Bronco will do, as am I sometimes;) Ask Shadofax:thumbup

Do not get me wrong. It is great hanging with a bunch that have simlar ideas for modifacations and trucks. But for being able to find a wheelin trip any weekend I would choose CO. I have not been a part of RMFTC so maby I am talking out of my ...LOTS of good people from both.

X3

I never really got into CO4x4, maybe I'll look into that some time.

If you go on a run with RMFTC, you'll be with people who show respect for each other and respect the outdoors. There is also community involvement through volunteer work, my kind of people!

You don't really see any brand snobbery. The only people who give me crap there have already met me face to face, and we've probably wheeled together. Then the brand jokes are on!!! LOL The people definately set the tone, that's why I run with RMFTC.

Best of luck with future FSB events!

I went on a trip with CO4x4 a few years back to Carnage Canyon, Boulder. Last trip I went on because the Bronco sustained some damage and I realized I can't afford to lose my only vehicle. It was literally over 30 Jeeps, many built so well I couldn't believe it, and one other Ford, a Ranger owned by a guy named Rich who frequents RMFTC, and myself. Besides going .7 miles in 4 hours, peeling the rear differential cover up like a banana, m@ngling (****ing m@ng ban) my transfer case guard, and breaking the pinion seal so the D44 leaks it was a great trip, really nice guys.

If anyone up in Fort Collins wants to grab a beer, it would be nice to meet some locals.

You're crazy for doing Carnage in your truck. Thats guaranteed carnage on your rig. Thats like something Don would do, and look at his truck. :toothless

Yeah, I was crazy. But I had just gotten my tires put on and wanted to see how I would do. Was doing really well until I was a spot that was pretty frozen and my rear driver tire slipped off a rock and I came crashing down on another rock, where the Carnage ensued. Saw the rear diff and drove to the bottom of the trail, took off the driveshaft, and drove it home in FWD:toothless. A $30 rear cover and a priceless lesson later, I know better.
