Thanks Rat , but I'm not really worried about finding a job . I'm more intrested in the all around job out look . Is construction booming or dead . Union or not . Good money or shit .
I'm mostly worried about the area I move into . Got three kids I have to put in school and raise . Need a place to build a house where I can stay for a while without to much worry about the big city problems .
gearrat 02-23-2004, 11:28 PM ok construction is going pretty much year round here, non union and as for money depends on who you work for. there are four elementry schools here only two are worth a shit. one is manzanita which has normal school year and the other one is cerbat which is year round. there is plenty of land out here to grab up to build on. as for big city problems well ya gotta have a big city for that.
Dirtdigger 02-23-2004, 11:51 PM I was on a search about Kingman and it spit out these cities or towns . Should I stay away from any of these . Are some better that others as far as quality of life ? Thanks for any help .

Check with the other Az guys.
If I was looking for a big city to move to, I would for Phoenix area. Those are all central and southern Az. Small towns look north ie...Flagstaff, Prescott, Kingman areas.
,
also southern arizona has most of the heat we are up in the mountains so it is pretty nice year round
Dustin 02-24-2004, 01:37 AM yeah I concider all those citys part of the valley(phx). most are within an hour drive of eachother. there is lots of construction going on here, lots of home building in the northwest valley If your first pirority are schools look in the peoria/deervalley area. they have some of the best schools in the state.

Andrewdrice 02-27-2004, 12:02 AM Im here in the tricity area, prescott, prescott valley, chino valley. more specifically, Chino Valley. I work for FANN contracting, we do dirt work, paving, lot prep for big subdivisions, as well as remediation projects. My dad is the human resources director for fann cont. there is work here year round. I like this area, so look into it.
Bgrafk 03-08-2004, 06:08 PM I'm down here in AZ. There is always construction going on here, it never ends. As far as the Cities go, Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale, Chandler, Mesa, Glendale, Gilbert, Avondale, Peoria, are all basically connected, its basically like one huge city. In Chandler, Gilbert, Avondale, and East Mesa is where all the new houses are going up, and businesses, these cities are very nice and family oriented. Scottsdale kind of expensive to live in, but still very very nice. Tempe is considered college town, but there a lot of nice older homes there. As far as school goes, many of the school districts are very good, i.e., Kyrene School District in Tempe/Chandler, Gilbert School District in Gilbert. I hope this helps you out some.
WhoaDammit 03-10-2004, 12:59 AM Yuma, AZ is expanding at an incredible rate (pop doubles every winter, though) beautiful winters (traffic aside), hot and dry summers, contsruction going on almost constantly (mostly road and commercial). As to offroading, two words: SAND DUNES! Hill climbing and sand drags. Quads, rails, bikes, and trucks welcome. 45 min out of town. US army and Marine corps bases w/ civillian crew (heavy equipment availible) lots of perks, small but not too small. places to build a house/shop, good schools (crane elementary, Yuma Union HS.'s) overall, I'm glad I grew up here. And if you want cool weather, just drive northeast for about four hours and hit Flagstaff.
