Ok this happened today after one of my classes... I was in the Market which is the dining hall in my dorm, and i get a call from Wes but i cant answer it in time, so i call him backl and he says that he is stuck outside of town and if i know anyone who can get him out. I said let me make a phone call and ill call you back. so i called a friend that was in class and he answers and tells me that hes in class. i ask him you want to make some dough? he says yea and comes from class to meet me at the dining hall. i call Wes back get directions to a place that i have never heard of and tell him that i am coming in a bit. we leave campus and goto the gas station top get gas and then head out to the middle of no where(yes i know lubbock is in the middle of now where but this place is too). we are driving and get past the airport which is a ways outta town and i call him asking where this exit is and to see if we went to far. we havent so we keep going and see the exit and take the directions there. we come up on him standing in the road talking to some dog(i guess he was asking him for help or something :shrug ) he gets in and tells us how to get to where his truck is. we go and see it in the distance and say there it is, we gte up to it and see hes in the ditch pretty good and the raod is slicker and gooy as heck.(its a county road so its dirt) one side has a steep ditch on it and the other has a semi shallow one. hes stuck in the semi shallow one so we hook up my freinds F250 and start pulling on him. we have no progress except that we pull him back towards the paved road about 15 feet. my friend pulls up to get a better angle on it and sides into the deep side ditch and we are like fudge. he tries to climb out but just sits there so i tell him to back out because there is a high spot to get out at the end of the ditch and he does but he backs up too far and busts a tail light.. he says F it and gets out and hooks up to Wes again. we pull him back another 60 feet and he is still in the ditch. we found some chain link fence and laid it under the tire and pulled some more. this worked and got the arse end outta the bottom of the ditch more but not enough so we try again and get better but if we keep pulling now he will hit this high embankment so i decide that me and a friend are going to push the back end of the truck away from it in hopes of getting him out. we pull with the F250 and he starts to come out and then we un hook the trucks and push more while he comes back. this got him out and we now look at the 100 odd feet we pulled him out of the ditch and i think what a dumb arse.. but hey the road was slick and from the begining i could see where he slid in to the ditch. all of this so that he could bring a guy some CDs.. ha that guy never got his CDs we all get on to the hard top and we talk alittle bit and then my frined who was driving says lets go so Wes throws some mud pretty good cleaning his tires and he goes one way and we go another.
Sorry no pictures beacuse we wernt in the Bronco but we will be going back there again because to take pictures of where he was stuck and how everything looks

i didnt realize that my freakin digital cam was in my truck the whole time from camping this past weekend, im stupid.

just to clear a few things up, yes my truck is 2wd. the guys place i was goin to said he got in fine last night after the snow and stuff in his 2wd f-150. little did i remember that he comes in a different way than i do. i was going slow to keep some control of the truck and the front tires just started sliding, and into the ditch i went. no im not proud of it, there wasnt enough my on my truck in the end, and i have nothing to show for it. oh well, shit happens, im out now, and its all good

not a bronco, just 4wd, i would really like a 97 f-250 extended bab shortbed, black, with the diesel, auto, and 4wd, thats like my dream truck. maybe ill get one a couple of summers from now.

personally, i can drive great in the snow, this wasnt snow though, it was deep thick gooey mud. the only reason i got stuck was becuase the front tires just slid on the road, instead of tracking down the road. the front passenger side slid into the ditch enough to get mud in between the spokes in my wheels, so now that tire is off balance as hell!! i enjoyed it though, i had a good time gettin it unstuck, and daves truck honestly sorta amazed me at how well it did, i want one now!!

i am thinkin bout buying it cause the motor only has 30000 on it since its rebuild. i would use it for parts then sell it or fix it and make it a tow rig for both broncos he dont want much for it and i have the cash so it may happen after he fixes the pilot bearing and the clutch
