just thought I'd share some frustration some of you could relate too.

I just put that engine in the Bronco... she's our only rig now since they repo'd the ol' ladies Jeep.
I just landed a killer job... but the pay is salaried, and paid twice a month.
No money in my gubby little hands... yet.

Problem = Bronco's already got 670+ miles on her and I can't afford to give her a damn oil change!!! :banghead :cry :banghead

So I'm still nursing her around... wife has strict instruction not to get on it, unless it's an emergency (aviod getting hit, etc.)

I'm dying to get that first oil change and take my baby out to the ORV park and see what she can do now... but I can't, at least not for a little while longer.

Anyway... the end of the tunnel is coming up fast, just not fast enough.
Thought some of you might be able to relate to how I'm feeling.
That's all. :brownbag

I feel your pain Pepe, believe me.

I bought my Bronco while I lived at my old apartment complex because if I didn't I'd miss out on the purchase. So once got the Bronco to the complex I found out they wouldn't let me work on it there, nor store it there because it wasn't registerd. So I had it towed to a friends shop until I bought my house.

I now have my house...and a garage to work on Da Tank, but now I can't get the Bronco home. I have access to a car dolley but no access to a truck to tow it. Nor do I have the money to put it on a flatbed. So its just sitting at my friends shop collecting dust and snow about 6 miles from my house and empty garage.

Here's an ideal... Get some old clothes and tear holes in them. Get some grease and dirt on your face and a cardboard sign that says will work for food. Stand at the street corner for a few hours and after you get a few $20s got get your oil changed. I've heard its an easy way to make $100+ per day. The only problem is that it's only good for a few days.

well maybe one day unicef will get into the auto industry and start giving out free repairs, but until that time maybe u should cut back to say 7 cases a week instead of 9 :shrug

I finally got her home this weekend! We loaded her up on a flatbed trailer during the rain/snow on Saturday morning and finally plopped her on my driveway. Da Tank looks much better sitting in my driveway than she did sitting out in a muddy lot. Got a little bit of work done, removed the side steps, alternator, fan, fan shroud, AC, and brakets. I hope to have the engine ready to pull out this weekend.

I hope you get everything settled Pepe.

hey burl, that picture you got "OWNED" dude that was way to NARLY!! where did you get the pic... hope it wasn't you!

HEY PEPE, hope things at the new job are KEWL! You are definintely almost out of the woods when you start collecting paychecks...even if they are every two weeks!!
When I was in the navy... I just couldn't get used to the every other week thing...so I let the old lady deal with it.!!! made things much better!

any-who... good luck and keep your chin up!! (easier for us to hit ya!! LOL)
