I finally did it, picked up my new car this past Monday, I was able to get a really good deal on it. The weather here has been so crappy I havn't had a chance to take any really good pics, but here's the run down, 2003 Crown Vic, 19k miles, gold, leather interior and power everything. The car is great, no complaints in the week I've been driving it. It has tons of power handles great and I can't believe the gas mileage...In some ways the damn thing feels bigger than the Bronco. So with this new purchase the Bronco is going to become strictly a toy.. :thumbup :thumbup ..Anyway, here it is.

Crown Victoria.... :rockon good score. :beer

They usually don't have a lot of problems, but in all seriousness I would take the VIN down to the Ford dealership and ask them if there were any recalls for the particular part of the year your car was made. I seem to remember at least 3 recalls on Crown Vics in 2003. One for the 4.6L I believe, another for defective rims from factory, and I can't remember a third one specifically. Cause it's been an ongoing problem...if you don't ask Ford about it or notice Ford's silent recall...then they won't tell you anything. :wacko

EDIT: Found the links for 3 of them...but couldn't find the one about the rims, but oh well.

Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, and Town Cars to have possible defective rear axles. (http://www.blueovalnews.com/2003/cars/cv.axles.t30505.083003.htm)

I used to drive a CV as a company car. It was dark blue. I put those round brake lites in the back, and put a dark kleenex box on the dash, and just watched people have a heart attack as you pulled up behind them on the freeway. everybody got out of your way real fast. it was great.

yeah, it's got an old man image, but it's a nice ride, so nice score jermil.

They are comfortable, long cruisers, much better than a compact truck for example.. :D
