got my self my second bronco, my project. after having to get rid of my last 94, due to the fact i cant have a project and a DD being the same ride, i have been looking for cheap broncos, and trucks.
im getting this from a kid i work with, he doesnt know anything about cars/trucks.
he stopped driving it becasue it was having a rough ride. that rough ride was abroken rear spring hanger.
all the hangers need to be replaced though, but the rest of the frame and underbody are almost perfect.
its a 302, e4od electric case, auto hubs. has some rot, not too bad, on quaters, tailgate, and drivers door jam, and bottom of doors.
hood latch is froozen, so i coulnt even try to open it to jump it. but it has somewhere around 160-170k on it. all origianl, never been altered.
leather interior, and some really cool options i never knew you could get, in 94 or even in a bronco, it has auto dimming rear veiw, double sun visors, lighted vanity mirrors. ect.
all this for $200, plus 75-100 for the flat bed to deliver it tommorrow.
not bad i think. i will restore everything and do alot of custom stuff. it wont be a trial rig, but a every day, versitle, camp, light trails, moderate wheeling, daily driver
i have about 100 pics, ill show some more pater, got to go to the doc for my knees
:rockon :rockon

So, it's a trail rig then :goodfinge
100 bucks to buy that trailer, or to use it to get the Bronco home?
blueoval78 02-27-2004, 03:56 PM nah, about 75-100 for the wrecker to flat bed it home, about 50 miles.
plans are to restore it, so 2 new quater panels, new tailgate, fix or replace doors, there is some rust at the bottom of the doors on the seem inside, i dont think it is bad, looks like just surafce and should be able to be saved. than repainted black, have the top smoothed and a few other little details.
interior needs a good cleaning, so it will be stripped, sound proofed, new carpet, new or reappolstered seats, redo headliners, install a roll bar, a nice stereo ect ect.
it has a 302, it will be pulled, either rebuilt, or a new long block, thinking of a 320-350 hp range.
e4od will be trashed, a C6 and a manual tcase swapped in.
not positive but i think im gonna keep the TTB, i think it will be fine for what i will use it for, but i will lift it with either BDS or cepek 6'' since i need new hangers and all, pretty much everything from frame down will be replaced and refurbed, painted with POR 14 or magnapaint or other rust inhibiting paint.
i haved decided if i want to go SAS so i will leave it open for what i think will be best for me and my uses.
i have plans for bumpers and roll bar, a little different than what everyone else has.
the bronco has been sitting for roughly 5 months, he stopped driving right after the hanger broke, but he didnt know what happend it looks like everything else is good. looks like the rear main seal is going or the trans is leaking some, it is hard to tell, but i think it is trans i wast able to roll under it, just piont and click with the digital.
he only wanted a few hundred for it anyways, he was looking for about 600-700. after i showed him the damage and th fact that it needs 4 hangers, 2 shakles, an oil pan needs to be replaced. he asked again what i think it is worth. to anyone else it is worthless, needing too much money for something that they may not have time for. it needs to go to someone who plans to rebuild it. or junk it. we decided on 200, i think it is far for the amount of work it needs, but it is a good base to build on. and for me to dump all my money into. wife already said i have to get a job just for the bronco, no money is coming out of the house funds. good thing we have no kids yet
gobucs 02-27-2004, 07:41 PM That is a amazing deal not running with the problems it has. Have fun with it.
blueoval78 02-27-2004, 07:53 PM it should run, ill have to get a new battery for sure, but the latch is frozen, so when it gets here, ill mess with it, and go through everything, drop in a battery, and get her going, hopefully, i just want to make sure everything works good, and make a list of anything that doesnt
dsotmoon 02-27-2004, 08:04 PM :shocked 200.00, damn, wish I could find a deal like that, cant wait to see the progress on this thing
blueoval78 02-28-2004, 07:24 PM woo hoooo :chili: :chili: :chili:
bronco came today, 55 miles, 75 bucks, got to love connections.
anyways, i spent some good time cleaning ti and going over things. had trouble with the hood not opening, finally fought it and won, open the hood up, checked things out, and hoped my little 4.0 exploder could maybe jump this battery, and she did, got her running, the throttle spring, doesnt spring, so i had to adjust the idle but moving the spring by hand. ran good, for not having run in quite some time.
found some good stuff, 302, mass air, and only 132k miles. the trans sfiter is all screwed up, but the e4od will be gone. check the body a bit more, the rear hanger did do some damage to the floor, nice small hump there now, but that can be fixed, there was some floor rust on that same side to the edge of the floor, so i will have some more repair. not bad though, over all im stoked, i got a lot of work, pain and money to get it where i want, but she will be there.
i will be selling some stuff like the rims, center console and such to help out a bit
only other problems i found was there was no heat after warm up, and the wipers didnt work. no biggie, not sure why the heat didnt work, but ill figure it out :rockon :rockon :beer :drinkbud
