Pick a number

Was surfing around break and found this http://www.break.com/games/pick_a_number.html ok, is there something that I am seeing, but has been correct the three times i have tried. And no, nothing is going to jump out of the screen and scare the crap out of ya. Just strange.

Something like this was posted somewhere else a few days ago.

When you pick your number and add the digits together then subtract them from the original the answer you get is always a multiple of 9. They have the same picture for every multiple of 9 in the game and they just change every time.

Yeah, i went back and noticed that the images seem to be in a pattern, but it fades away too quick to determine the pattern.
