: Combo U-Joint 1310 to 1330
jermil01 04-15-2009, 10:30 AM Trying to locate the PN for the combo front ujoint. The caps that sit in the yoke need to be 1 1/8, versus 1/1 16th on the driveshaft. Thought I had the correct Brute Force number but after comparing the end caps they appeared to be the same.
Shadofax 04-15-2009, 01:16 PM I can't remember which is which, but the BF part numbers are 4800BF and 4900BF, just not sure which is for the front shaft and which is for the rear.
Oh wait, I think I have a spare in the garage for the rear shaft....let me go look.

2-4900BF for the front.
jermil01 04-15-2009, 03:10 PM Thanks Shadow, so this is the combo u-joint? I didn't see any where in the specs where the give the end cap measurements unless I missed it. Guess I'll go to the parts store and ask for this u-joint.

yes, the part number I gave you will have your mismatched cap sizes. My old (stock) front Dshaft used this part number and I remember it had the different caps, not like the rear driveshaft joint which are all the same.

Shadofax 04-15-2009, 04:15 PM ouch, highway robbery for that joint. $49? Plus I think he was just heading locally to pick up the brute force (forged non-greasable). I've ran the neapco's for years, they aren't a bad joint for way less money.
jermil01 04-15-2009, 04:31 PM :thumbup Perfect, yeah the BF's have served me well and they're priced right too. Does anyone have any idea why they had these different combinations?
kaudbron 04-15-2009, 04:33 PM let me know what you get because I'd prefer a cheaper alternative as well
jermil01 04-15-2009, 04:36 PM I'm going to pick up a couple this weekend. The BF's I initially priced which weren't right were about 12 bucks apiece, can't imagine these would be any more.

About $17 these days. Da zone has gotten sneaky, they used to sell these directly packaged as Brute Force by Neapco. Now they took them and changed the BF to DG (for duralast gold) and rebadged them. Same part number, and I'm sure this is a neapco brute force since all the specs match up.
kaudbron 04-15-2009, 04:46 PM score I found out that pepboys sells neapco locally, if you find a pn post if you don't mind sharing. Otherwise I'll spend some time in the cataloug
Edit nevermind I found them, your link doesn't work but is this the description you got?
Front 1.063" or 1.188" bearing cups.
jermil01 04-15-2009, 04:48 PM Shadow posted it up top, BF4900, they should be able to cross reference that number.
