hey how do those bow correction things work? Are they just angled pucks that go on the bottom of the spring?

jopes

they are angled shims made to correct the bow.

Jon0807

do they go between the coil and where it mounts or under the coil mount?

jopes

between the coil pad and the radius arm

 Jeebus! What do think is causin' the bow in the first place?
Are the coil springs that soft...or some other reason?

I think that pretty common with you put longer springs. It's just how those cups are angled. I only have a 3" lift on mine and I can notice a slight bow

Ah, thanks for the info Jon. Coil cup shims...never heard of 'em. I guess
you really do learn something new (to me) everyday. I'd like to see what
they look like.

its mostly with how soft they are. Those are variable rates. Te top few inches are down around the 250 rate

performance unlimited tells how to make the coil shims. there are some pivots that another place makes that look like they will solve the problem. AXE

looks like the ones performance unlimited is for if your springs are bowed forward not sideways? any ideas on how to fix side to side? same concept just rotated 90 degrees?

my track bar is not centering my axle yet.

I am sure it will look alot better when it is all straightened out.

Can you grab the springs and pull them out towards the tires as well? Mine were moving all over the place. I ended up drilling the back side of the coil tower and put in a u bolt to pull the back side of the spring in.

I got the 4" springs, and I think that's the difference. I can move mine about 3/8" toward the tire with a good pull. The lower spring retainer seems to be holding them in place just fine. I'll be wheelin on em this weekend so I'll let you know how that goes. It should be interesting, since I'm used to the Rancho coils that are extremely stiff.

thats exactly what i was thinking, might try it at work tomorrow. Did it help at all? I figure that it'll keep them from completely cuttin loose and maybe straighten them out a bit.
