That a very confusing question, not a lot of info there...do you mean that you are trying to figure out where to put the new axle or something else? I'm assuming axle since you posted in the SAS section. Looks like most everyone on here used a plumb . Redwagon 04-21-2009, 04:48 PM right around 105" danboy 04-21-2009, 04:52 PM yepp thats what im trying to figure out, haha sorry for poor the wording Redwagon 04-21-2009, 04:52 PM Just found my old info on my sas. on my 85 the original wheel base was 104" when done with the sas I ended up at 104 1/4" chexmix 04-21-2009, 05:00 PM I pushed mine forward some and looking back wish I did more to give the tires more clearance... Swat 04-21-2009, 06:02 PM I pushed the front forward one inch to gain some clearance for them big-ass tars from the farwall and the rear back 2" to get more longer wheelbase for climbin' and a better leavin' angle. Both moves took some fabbercation. 'Bout 108" now! danboy 04-21-2009, 07:55 PM sounds like a good plan illl look into it thanks for the info redbeast9 04-22-2009, 12:05 AM If your doing an sas place the front axle as far forward as possiable, the drivers side frame (hump for steering box) will tell you how far you can move the spring buckets forward. Then when you think you have the front axle plumb move it one inch forward and mount your radius arms. Then thank me later!!! |
