It was a Warn 12,000 pound winch, well used and loved. They are not that common, so if any of you computer crazies sees one offered for sale on Ebay or anywhere else, please email me. Especially if there are suspicious circumstances like uh, the seller doesn't have the goddamn winch controller because it was locked in my truck!!!!

I am so damn pissed. :banghead

...eyes are peeled. But in the meantime..did you report it to the police? Go file a report w/your local p.d. if you haven't already. And yeah..are there any distinguishing marks on it?

P.S. Everybody go out to your winches right now and engrave your name and phone # on the back or bottom of it.

Thanks for the messages. Yeah, Jon, keep an eye out up there at Azusa. Unfortunately, I didnt' engrave the winch or anything. I'd know it if I saw it, but I know that doesn't help anyone else. I can tell you that the power cables are cut about 12" from the control box...

I did report immediately to the local PD and I'm looking into insurance coverage.

nlink is right, I still have my remote... not to say that the thief couldn't have stolen that from some other sap.
