Im gonna be in the Inner Harbor in Baltimore this weekend for work. Saturday morning i have a big qualification exam for work, so hopefully monday ill be a certified technition! (and making more money :D)
So, my boss is being nice enough to get me (& my g/f) a hotel room at the Holdiay Inn right near the Inner Harbor. Since ive never been to MD, i was wondering.....whats there to do in the area? I have this crappy little map of the area that came with the paperwork from the trip, it mentions an aquarium, but thats really it. Im gonna be staying in Balitmore till sometime sunday, so ill have plenty of time to wander around and see the sights. (assuming there are any)

Stay away from the water taxi. When we went we hit the aquarium and rented a peddle boat, but looking at the weather channel for this weekend. The boat might not be a good idea. :shrug

Here's a quick list. Go drinking at Fells Point--you won't regret it, Eat a crabcake sandwich at Phillips Restaurant at the Inner Harbor, Check out the Aquarium--it's awesome, Check out the ships at port if you're interested in boats. There is nothing going on at the Convention Center except a Mary Kay Convention. Have fun, the Inner Harbor is a fun place to be and Fells Point is party central.

Go to the "Power Plant" two blocks from the inner harbor. Just take a cab to the power plant. Many bars for young people.

Which museum is it in the inner harbor? Other than the aquarium, I know it was a good one... just don't remember what it was.

You would think that I would have some input being I live outside of Baltimore. :shrug Guess I need to get out more. Also, can't remember if the power plant is part of this, there is a group of bars around the Have a Nice Day Cafe. I think you can still pay a certain cover at any of them that will give you access to all of them. Good luck with the cert! :beer

Well, im back! I know yall missed me, right? :toothless
Took my cert. exam Sat., took like an hour, so i had lots of free time to wander the city :thumbup

the Inner Harbor is actually really nice. Brick sidewalks, fancy street signs that talk to you, tons of fancy stores and malls for the wimen-folk, a badass aquarium, a shitload of restaurants and bars, and a sweet 4-story Barnes & Noble. Shit, i dunno, there was more there than we could do in the weekend.

I ate at the Hard Rock Cafe for the first time Sat. night, and i must say....it was a waste of time :shocked. waited over an hour for over-priced, sub-par food. but atleast the music was good :thumbup
well, im not gonna bore you with details, so ill get off my soapbox now :p
