Any good places to camp up there that can easily be accessible with 2wd trucks? Preferably with any of these features like fire pit or lake and can have a couple beers.

There is Serrano on the north side of Big Bear Lake by the Discovery Center. Within walking distance. You can also camp at Silverwood Lake. All off the main roads.

There are other campgrounds that are around the mountains, but not close to the lake.

Sup bro long time no see. You should go to Crab flats. Its about 4.5 miles off the road in the dirt and is the start to alot of good trails. fishing is only 6or 7 miles away and fires are ok. Fun spot for all infact I think it is an OHV park or very close to one. I will get good directions and let you know how to find it. got to go soon cuz they close it in the winter. let me know when cuz I want to go.:thumbup:thumbup:thumbup

Here's the current situation on campgrounds

Fires are still limited to campgrounds
