The Spring Swapmeet is happenin on Apr 16-18th.
Tons of people set up all over the track, sellin their crap to people like us. :toothless Saturday is the truck and 4x4 show, sunday is the classic car shows. Ill be there Sat & Sun. Gotta work that friday, or id go then too. (As a few of you can attest, im pretty damn close to the track.)
Yes there is a local place to wheel! But its small. Couple trails up some powerlines, and a gravel pit for us to get muddy near. If i can get the truck super-muddy that friday, im def. gonna enter the truck show on saturday :toothless

as for the location of the racetrack....
if you go to the directions page, the Red Star on the map is actually the entrance to the airport, the entrance into the park is about one minute north of there. They cut an access road thru the woods that connects 527 & pension rd together right at the entrance to the park. (directly across the st. from it, to help alleviate traffic buildup) You can see it on the map as a thin line running mostly horizontal near the top.

whats this swap meat all about, what goes on, u mentioned about a place to wheel, could a stock truck handle it. i would be interested in going, i am lookin to buy a heavy duty tow strap wich i prolly could find at the swap meat,

yeah a buddy went back there w/ me in his 84 gmc stepside on 31s. You cant go there during the week though, cuz its next to a construction site, and its beginning to get rather busy over there now (no houses yet, theyre still clearing it). I figure another 6 months to a year, and itll all be gone :cry
Im willing to bring a few trucks out there b4 the meet to get muddy for the show, but id prefer if it was kept as low-key as possible. Dont ask me where it is online, cuz i wont say. Its my only local place left to go, and i dont want to lose it (any sooner than i already am, that is.)
We cant go during the weekend either, therell be wayyy too much traffic from the swap meet. If anyone wants to go, itll have to be friday night.

As for the Swapmeet...
the car show covers the entire racetrack, and the 'swap meet' covers the parking lots on both Pit & Spectator sides. People rent parking spaces, and put out all their crap for sale. You can find some awesome deals there.

Hells yeah ill be there. Live so close, it would be a sin to not go. I was gonna get a spot or two, but put it off for too long. Dont want to get one now, as itll be wayyyy in the back. Ill prolly just enter in the 4x4 show so i can park in the middle :toothless

i looked on the site, couldnt find out what time it opens and closes on their site, anyone got any clue

uh, i think its 6am to...........7pm? i forget when it closes, but my father always leaves at 6am, and we live about five minutes away.
After 2:30, youre allowed to drive your vehicle into the swapmeet so that you can pick up anything too heavy to carry out.
Im usually out by 4pm, but ive been there as late as 6pm before.
