Yesterday I had to drive our Ford Exploder (GSA) vehicle about an hour south of us to Pasco. Apparently the military feels that SUVs are unsafe and we are all going to quad cab pickups. So I am tooling down 82 listening to the tunes on the radio not paying much attention, when I notice a car pulling up beside me in the left hand lane. As I glanced over a rather elderly gentleman was in the passenger seat. As I looked over at him, he seemed to notice my uniform, he straightened up in his seat and offered me a crisp salute...I of course saluted him back and gave him a nod as he smiled and they drove on. I honestly can not describe the feeling I got when this man offered this simple gesture. It truely made my day.
I ended up picking up a 2003 Dodge dakota Quad cab 4x4 with the Magnum V-6 and only 54 miles on it ...I only have one word for this truck...gutless...

As a slightly less than elderly gentleman, let me offer you a salute as well.
*standing at attention offering a crisp salute*
 for all you do BMC, this one's for you. ;)

Thanks 79...as far as the Dakota...when you are crusing around seventy and go for a pass...you can't just press on the gas...you have to smash it to the floor and wait for it to kick down then slooowwwwlllyyy accelerate it is gutless. This is the V-6 magnum, I am sure the
V-8 would be ideal in a truck this size.
