My friend Dave calls me a few weeks ago and says "help me I'm stuck". He's about 3 miles away at his granny's 500 acres of pasture, timber, and bottom land. I say hell yes, and I'm think'n thanks for getting me out of the house, its been a long boring (fattening as you will see in pic) winter. So I jump in Black and my oldest son Jerry jr and my soon to be nephew in law(brothers daughters boyfriend)Brad jump in Brads 96 chevy 4/4 and off we go to pull hhttp://www.superford.org/getfile.php?id=117994&toggle=fullsize&f=Dave truck 005.jpgim out. Dave's 83? bronco stuck

In this pic you can see that he almost made it out of the bad stuff, but I guess his carb needs some work and was cutting out at high RPM.http://www.superford.org/getfile.php?id=117992&toggle=fullsize&f=Dave truck 003.jpg

I tried to pull him out backwards but with no lockers or trac.locks I just spun 2 wheels. I walked out in front of his truck and think hey this doesn't seem to bad. So i turn around and tried to get in front of him and thats when I got stuck also. Low side and 2nd gear did'nt have near enought wheel speed to get me through this muck. After getting myself stuck I got out and checked the mud again and found if you stand in one spot with your feet together and work this mud it turns to soup. http://www.superford.org/getfile.php?id=117995&toggle=fullsize&f=Dave truck 006.jpg Did I say that I put on some weight over the winter? I look knocked up. I ask the wife if this shirt makes me look fat, and she said "No I think its the dounuts" hahaha. Also in the picture from the left is my son Jerry, Sean (the Drunk), and brad. Brad never offered to use his 96 chevy (no pic) to pull us out so he gave Dave a ride to his dads house to get his other truck. Late 70s 3/4 ton chevy with 6" lift and 38"monster mudders, hardly spun a wheel to pull both trucks out. Some may think that it sucks to be pulled out by a chevy but I left all that crap behind me when I was a boy. Getting out of the house, getting my own dumba.. stuck, and getting pulled out by a chevy was one hell of a fun afternoon after being inside all winter. We all chalenged dave to drive the chevy through the mud but he had to be somewhere so he did'nt take us up on the chalenge. p****. And to top it all off Brad, after we are all unstuck said his little tired truck could have pulled us both out. hahaha. Anythings possible I guess,as long as you don't have to prove it. Happy trails. Jerry

This is Sean (the drunk) in action. I've known this guy since he first started school in the early 70s. Plus he has two older sisters that made the mile walk to his house worthwhile. OH yes worthwhile! This is an every day thing with him and its sad to say the least, but nothing anybody can say or do can help someone that will not help himself. http://www.superford.org/getfile.php?id=117996&toggle=fullsize&f=Dave truck 004.jpg

I guess that storing the donuts in your belly makes them last longer than storing them in the box (you still got em and they ain't stale).

That mud that turns to muck like that did is fun to play in, it keeps it interesting....... :beer
