I've BS'ed a bit with Jeremy(the guy that owns the 4Runner on the 35" Krawlers) about what I want to do with my Bronco, but not having any income for my projects limits that, severely. However, I've decided to do what I can do, for now - Lose the hardtop completely, cut off the rest of the roof, dovetail both ends, half doors (with cup holders  ). Basically, if it involves any cutting, or removing of parts, I can at least do that. I also want to get my frame on some kind of stands, and remove the rear suspension for something else.....I'm thinking 4-link wishbone with home-made coilovers

I've thought about going with 1/4 ellipticals instead, but I'd still need shocks, and still need traction bars. Going with the 4-link will save a LITTLE weight(as if it really matters on a rig this size, right?)

So, I'm going to try making my own coil-overs, and if that doesn't work like I want, then I'll be going with 1/4 elipticals. I've been undecided about the front, whether to make extended radius arms, or wristed. I think I'm going to do wristed. About that same time, I'm wanting to swap in a 14bolt, and a D44HD(since I know my chances of a RC D60 is near impossible)

I've been hesitant with cutting mine up, since the body's nearly perfect, but I've decided, screw it, I'm cuttin it. God, it's been SOOOO long since I've even opened the door on this POS...it's time I did something.

Now, if only I could afford the ORD 203/205 doubler kit........

I've been looking at doing the same rear setup David. I was thinking with 1/4 elliptic you wouldn't need coilovers (?). I think we're doing the same dance around different (Not by much) Broncos. I am definitely wristing the front, but not without a ladder bar of some kind to control the torque on the housing and one solid radius arm. Whaddyathink?

Keeping the driver side alone will contrtol the torque to the front axle. So, if you run a ladder/traction bar to the wristed side, you'd be defeating it's purpose

I was thinking a ladder bar on the driver's side to take some of the hit for the radius arm. I spose a 3 link wouldn't be much more work by the time I put that together.

Ya know, a 3-link front end might actually be a good idea. As soon as POS will let me log in, I'll be searching for pictures of that. Shoot, I might even do a 4-link wishbone in front too

I'm debating whether or not I want to shorten my tailgate and make it functional or not - not so much with the window, but to open and close

Or do I just sell off the parts out of it? I'm thinking I'll just part it out

thats what i am doing man, i am going to sell all my stuff. i just sold the 5 lug stuff and i may have a buyer for the other set off the D44 thats in the yard. i just want it all gone. i want that prerunner bumper and i dont want to pay for it. hey dave, i always thought those chrome deals that you mount inside the rear tailgate, that flip over would be cool. but the thought of the glass laying flat there while wheeling just seems like asking for it. Dave, cut it in half and make it open up like an Excursion.
