I took two of my sons on their first wheelin trip this weekend(Apr 17/18). We were in the Geo. Wash. Nat'l Forest in Va. I told them about this dry creek bed we were headed to that should prove a good test. On the way we came across a father and son who had brole down in an old GMC truck. Battery cables fried. We loaded them up and took them to their cabin about 3 miles away. No big deal. Thats what wheelin is all about. Back to the dry creek bed. We are almost there, about half a mile away when we round a bend and there are two guys standing in the middle of the trail. They had spent the nite in their truck because they toasted the clutch getting un-stuck. Further inspection revealed a toasted tranny, too. They were about 11 miles from the nearest paved road at this point. So, I got out the strap and towed them to an ATV unloading area (about five miles). Then I gave them a ride into town so they could get their truck back. The truck was a 2000 Nissan 4x4 with the off-road package. But it didn't even have a tow hook anywhere. :shrug Some off-road package. My boys weren't really pleased but I told them you gotta help a fellow wheeler when they need it. The next day was much more fun. :thumbup

sound like a familiar story, only mine usually starts with my phone ringing between 1:00 and 3:00 A.M. and a loud whiney voice on the other end saying "HELP I AM STUCK".....(insert static from cell phone service being extremely weak where they are, here )...... and something to the effect that the pavement ended 20 miles ago......( more static ).......then something about this unbelieveably huge mud hole.....( still more static ).......and my rig won't run!!!!!!! "So how about it Dad will you come and get us PLEASE , my friends were suppose to be home by midnight"......

Maybe Nissan is trying to say that their off-road package is so good you don't need tow hooks.
