View Full Version : burbank ca. bronco
BlancoBronco 04-21-2004, 08:07 PM Hi :thumbup Im new here , just bought a '90 bronco .
I've only taken it out twice so far, to hungry valley & azusa canyon. I had a blast at both places. Im looking for others broncos out here in the burbank calif. area to run with. :drinkbud
My bronco is completely stock right now . I was about to put a 6" lift on it when I relized the trans is going out on it :banghead . E4od! Unfortunitly the lift is out of the queston being that tranny aint cheap & I am never satisfied to leave anything stock. so that trans needs to get a bit of an upgrade.
But as my user name states. :cry
The bronco runs great other wise.
:rockon
I think I'll put up another post about the trans.

BlancoBronco 05-18-2004, 05:47 PM Hey, I'm over in Woodland Hills (West Valley). I look forward to meeting you at Bob's and to go wheeling with you sometime.
Woodland hills hu?
Thats cool you live close.
Yeah I go to Bobs every friday that I'm not working.
( I never know with the kind of work I do when I will be at work)
Like I said keep a eye :shocked out for the white '90 bronco or a beat up '68 mustang with the letters "project car" across the top of the windshield. :thumbup
As far as wheeling goes..my trans is getting worse( I hoped if I talked nice to it ,
it would fix it self :shrug :duh
But no luck)
I am willing to go wheeling any time & with anyone as long as my bronc. can stay close to the road for the tow truck to get :cry :banghead
Its a real bummer! :banghead
But I did just get the extended range tow plan from triple A
Just so I could go play a little.
I might have to throw in a stock used trans in .
Even though I really dont want to..
who knows how long that one will last.
Does anyone know about a place I have been told about that sells used trannys for my bronc. with a warrenty?
I was told theres a place in the valley? :shrug
peteyg 05-18-2004, 06:13 PM There's a wrecking yard in Ontario that will sell you a used tranny with a 90 day warranty. They won't give you your money back, bu they will keep replacing it until they get one that works if you have a problem. I forget the name of the place, but it's in my Yellow pages at home. I'll look it up for you.
Spectre 05-20-2004, 03:35 PM 6" why not just go all the way and do the 8" lift? :)
Don't feel bad about not affoarding anything.. We're had our bronco for about 4 months now and I can't affoard to buy new tires for it.. (well I have a big check comin and plan on buying tires this weekend.. Hopefully no super emergency comes and takes all my money) Freaking 320 a tire sux...
