TCRIMSONK 04-22-2004, 03:49 PM Can you add Paragon, and Raush Creek?
The closest zip to Raush Creek that I can find is 17981, it's 3 miles away, but it's close enough for this map.
Paragon's Zip is 18202.
Oh, and Centralia is 17921, if anybody's interested.
May also want to throw in that airport everyone is always talking about.
Do you have a way to put in these wheelin spots in a different color?
mixedup4x4 04-22-2004, 04:56 PM 19702 is he zip for me........newark, Delaware :rebelflag
Aikidoka 04-22-2004, 04:58 PM Here's a example for trails with roads.
http://www.aikidokatech.com/Bronco/FSB/trails.gif
And here's one without roads.
http://www.aikidokatech.com/Bronco/FSB/trails-no-roads.gif
Both have county lines. Anybody have a like or dislike of showing the county lines?
Kallure 04-22-2004, 05:02 PM I agree about Paragon & Rausch Creek but I would keep the airport off. It's the Philadelphia Airport, it's huge and busy and it's right off I-95, so it's not in bumblef.uck somewhere.
Paragon & Rausch are set up for wheeling and stuff like that. Our local wheeling spots aren't and probably should be kept off for posterity's sake.
TCRIMSONK 04-22-2004, 05:15 PM She makes a good point. unofficial wheelin should probly be left off. Centraila should still be fair game though. I also found Bear Valley, near Shamokin (17872) which looks like a good wheelin spot. We camped there, but didn't stay long enough to do any real wheeling. check it out at http://www.offroaders.com/album/centralia-shamokin/shamokin1.html
I'm not really opposed to the county lines, but I don't know that they serve any purpose for use in the forums.
TCRIMSONK 04-22-2004, 05:18 PM Oh, and does anybody have any info on "the new jersey pines" that I've read about in here?
SquattyD 04-22-2004, 11:38 PM 06032

I'm sure we can rig something up. I've got lots of extension cords, and coax to run the cable. Someone will need to bring some hose to run a septic line into his bathroom, or a sink somewhere. We could probly have it all set up in half an hour, max.

TCRIMSONK 04-23-2004, 03:28 PM Whatever happened to the "Central PA Offroad Park"? I see some references to it online, but cant find it's website, if one exists. Did it get turned into Roush Creek? Did it get closed down?

Kallure 04-23-2004, 03:41 PM I haven't heard about what happened to it, but it says it was in Altoona, PA, which is three hours away from Rausch Creek, so I don't think that was it.
Plus, word around the wheeling grapevine is that Rausch Creek was actually started by people who used to work at Paragon and apparently didn't like the way it was being run or whatever. It's only been open about a year. Of course, that's not confirmed knowledge so don't quote me on that. :thumbup

You very well may be right. Im not sure. I do spend alot of time in Altoona and have wheeled with people on some private ground in that area (Blue Knob area...with permission of course) but have never herd of it around there? hmmmmm......
Kallure 04-23-2004, 03:52 PM Eh, I may not drive a Bronco but I contribute enough to the cause to be a full-time member.

Yeah, you do. Stick around :thumbup
No, that was taking just after we moved in. The house looked like a shrub with a roof. That was a white birch tree that had no branches and looked like hell.
As far as Rausch Creek, I think the guy's name is Lynn and he was one of the original guides at PAP. We should have a ride at RC soon.

Wow throwing a tantrum on both threads and in a PM to me. As I said in the other thread, being that my first map was posted over a month ago, I would have thought that you would have asked me not to interfer then. Especially since I posted that I didn't want to be stepping on anybody's toes.
For everybody else, unless asked I will not be doing anymore work on the chapter map. I will be maintaining a trail marker map and hopefully ones that actually trace out the trails. After all, that's why I bought the program. I say continue posting trail locations now. Everybody have a great weekend! :thumbup

You are correct on yuor assumption that people from paragon opened RC. i dunno how involved they were with park management and the such, but i know they helped blaze some of the trails.
Oh, and im down for a ride to RC, i still need to see that place!

That would be correct. Once I found out that Mike was still out there doing them I didn't see the point working on it. I was just doing it to get used to the program to do the trail maps. Look for the trail maps in http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17791. And if you know of any trails in the NE Chapter feel free to post their location in that thread. Zip codes or GPS points work best!

TCRIMSONK 05-18-2004, 01:47 PM it's funny how this thread became much more popular than the origonal, even though the origonal is a stickey. I guess it's just that yours had a better title.
