Here are a few things I want everyone to know about me and the hosting I use for this site. I know a little about domain names and web hosting for one, I own the site http://getawebpagename.com , I sell domain names, Zilla buys his names from me, I host other sites also, personal and professional and manage them by myself, this site and others I have are hosted at http://ehostpros.com , they are a great company that provides me with great support, so here is what I want everyone to know:

There is DOWNTIME involved in every site on the internet, msn.com and yahoo.com have downtime, probably more than my sites, but there will be times this site is down, it's going to happen, in 4 months I have had 2 downtimes and they both only lasted minutes, one was a few minutes, one was about 30 minutes, these were do to attacks on the servers that were out of my control and that of my host, like I said, its going to happen

There is added cost to running an active forum, bandwidth is used up quick and this is what costs the most in hosting, I will ask for donations from the members that can afford it, I took this on myself and am willing to pay for it myself if need be, but I would appreciate any help I can get to offset the cost, any donations will be used for the site ONLY and will be posted and accounted for, I already have to upgrade to the next package just to accomodate the bandwidth this site will use

I will not always respond quickly, I have a fulltime job 8-5 eastern and I do design and manage 4 websites that need attention throughout the day, I am setting up a "team" to help me manage this website, it's for the members and run by the members.

I want everyone to have fun here and participate in making it a better place for everyone, I will be active in the forums, design and added features of the site, I will not go AWOL but I wont spend my time 24/7 on it either. Its not MY website, its "ours" so feedback will not go unnoticed.

I just had knee surgery 3 weeks ago and have since redamged the same knee and will do the best I can here as I can here, so bare with me :)

I just felt I needed to let everyone know a little about me and where I stand and what I look forward to with this site> I didnt "steal" MBB.com, I simply welcomed others to my site to share in something we all love, everyone is welcome, if anyone has any question you can PM or email me anytime.

Thanks

Alot of us are in a similar business, I do consulting for large scale WAN remote connectivity, and have been in the biz since i was 18. I used to refurb System36, 38's and then grew into AS400 and UNIX. I have the resources to buy all network gear at wholesale, so if Anyone wants used, refurbed or new goodies let me know. I will post pics soon of my new home office, i have a 7 foot enclosed data rack , stacked with a few Netras, one Netfinity and every bit of RAS, console servers, etc. Its pretty cool and coming along well, i may do some hosting from here. I am gettin a fat PRI, for connectivity to our other offices, etc. So, on to the big question,

WHATS your bronco like?

Thanks again for you help and warm welcome!
I think we all appreciate it.

One more thing, PAYPAL acct#?
for donations?

I clicked the dontation button yesterday and i didnt see a method yet, i think it was still being setup, or i was blind  . I have an old AIR 350 style cisco wireless access point, but i am going to buy the Netgear MA401, and 801 access point. For most of my stuff i am plugged in directly, but i am curious about the new netgear. Yeah, i can get you pricing on most anything, but its not easy to top CDW and ebay for stuff. CDW has some smokin prices wireless goodies. I participate in 3 different BUY/SELL trading boards for off-lease equipment, refurbed servers, routers, phone systems, UPS systems, etc.
