Ok, Dustin and myself are headed out to FR 42 on saturday mornin, early before the heat sets in.

Bartlett Lake, a north from Phoenix AZ, 22 miles east of Carefree.
Description
Forest Road 42 (FR42) is a nice sandy trail next to Bartlett Lake. It offers lot's of sand, mogals, hills to climb and water to play in. A stock 4x4 vehicle can make it through (high clearance), but might need a little help in a couple of spots. Of course point and gun it works sometimes too (we don't recomend this method due to trail damage).

Note: This trail intersects with many other trails in the area making it easy to get lost or on the wrong path. It is best to have a trail map, GPS or experienced guide on this trail. If not, make sure your lights work as you might be still finding your way out after dark.

Damn I'd love too go but this weekend I'm gonna have to do the front main on my Bronc. Started dumping a quart a day on monday so I better not put it off. Is FR42 the last one to the north before the lake? The one called Indian Springs? You guys have fun.

yeah you loop back around to indian springs wash. the trail starts off of north lake road just past the paystation. If you plan to use the trail you dont have to pay unless your going down to the lake.

she is going "shopping", totally bailed on wheelin. But, she did squish an import car yesteday on her way to work. It left a paint mark on the front right tire, other persons fault.
